Is this compatible with Windows 10 Pro?

My unit states "Bootable in PC & Mac, Works with Windows 7, Vista & XP."  I would suggest calling or emailing Apricorn's Technical Support Specialists to find out if it is bootable in Windows 10 Pro.  I'm using it with Mac El Capitan in a RAID 0 array with 2 SSDs and it works great.

Question 2

I have a Mac Pro Desktop 2010 12 core processor. Is my understanding correct in that I simply slide these PCIe cards into my cpu then attach any brand of solid state drive that I want to the card - including any size i.e. 500 GB, 1 TB, 256 GB, etc.? Then my computer will show two drives after booting up or no? any drivers? any firmware? anything else I should know? This seems too easy to be true. But I really need to know as I operate a recording studio with high end professional software and hardware and I need SSD's really bad for workflow reasons. Thanks. Ryan.

It is a drop in procedure. You stick the drive want to the PCIe card and then stick the card on the bus and turn the computer on. That is all there is to it. You might want to clone the operating system and your recording software to the SSD. All operations will be faster that way. That is exactly the application  I use it for.  Nuendo and PT 11

Actually have a few questions. I have an older Dell workstation limited to sataII.
1) I thought you needed a minimum of a pci x4 slot to get the speeds we are talking about. Not true?
2) In order to get the faster 800 speeds does the second drive have to be the same capacity as the first as in RAID 0?
3) Lastly.does the solo automatically go to a RAID 0 type configuration to gain the 800 speed?

Can't help you with the RAID questions.  I don't use it in that fashion.  I installed this in a 2011 MacPro as a boot disk and got a significant speed increase.  However, actual speed will definitely be affected by the bus capacity of your machine. I doubt you'll see anything near the max numbers on that older Dell.  Faster?  Probably.

Question 4

So, if my on mobo has Sata 3.0 already via cable connections, moving my SSD to this card for PCIe speeds wont make any difference right?

I guess the limitation is the Sata connection, despite it being connected to the PCIe slot : /

I don't know the answers for this particular lash up you got, so if you can answer those two questions you'll have your answer.
