does this product also need connecting cords/wires in a separate purchase?

My router is connected to a cable modem from my cable company and also connects to my main computer both via ethernet port cable instead of wireless. I needed these two ethernet cables. The power comes from a power supply that is included. I don't know where I got the two ethernet cables (one may have been included with the router) and the other came with the cable modem.
