Yes, any Wi-Fi device that is designed without a visable antenna will always have an internal one. This device is no exception...it has some pretty good range on it too.

can you connect to apple apple router?

If you are trying to use this as a wireless bridge then no. I don't think you can manage non apple routers through the airport utility.

How many users can this router host at the same time for email and Internet?

Not sure what the max number of dhcp addresses can be handed out but to answer your question - 16 to 32. Although I would not suggest more than 5 at the same time, your issue will be bandwidth on the internet connection more so than the little router. This does only have one 100m ethernet so any more would really slow down response for everyone.
I personally put on DD-WRT rom which does provide more dhcp addresses. Although never run out or had any issues with addressing ever.
FYI - The little box does get pretty hot - also I never did get 4g to work. 3g worked but not with the DD-WRT rom update. Really limited on the 3g modem support.
PS - be careful if you attempt OpenWRT - this uses a USB stick as part of the boot and is pretty temperamental to remove - 'very easy to brick your unit'.

I have a Verizon Internet USB card I am using for internet on my laptop (wish I had gotten a Verizon MiFi). With this product will I be able to get internet to my Xbox 360 via an ethernet cable and my Verizon USB card?

I have a pantech UL290 which is a 4G USB modem.  I am able to use it in the configuration you describe on my Xbox360.  At this time I mostly use it as described except as a WIFI client, so it is flexible as to your Upstream WAN type, WiFi or Cell.  Grabbing this product is way better than a MiFI, more flexibility, you own the device... if you find you are no longer using it for cell access load up OpenWRT and you have a low power computer for what ever you can dream up.

will this work if i take it out of the country?

I have not taken my unit out of the US but since the cellular function is based on a USB cell modem, you should be able to supply one in the country you are heading to (assume GSM version). The TP link performs the routing/hotspot function.

Is it universal ?

The device is powered over USB. The box includes a US style power adapter that is shown in the photos. Any usb power adapter should work. The 3G/4G "connector" is just a usb plug. I have not tried the 3G/4G functionality of this device.

Will this work with a Verizon 4g lte modem model usb551L modem?  Most of these router will not.

These routers don't have an on/off switch. To power it down, simply unplug it. If you are trying to reset it because the internet started being funky, then make sure to unplug it for at least 10 seconds.
