Pros: works great on Linux. videos in 1080p are handled easily on the desktop. youtube 1080p is not possible on netbooks yet...it plays really good on 480p already install linux :) (remember to download the proprietary amd drivers if u want to control performance over quality, which will make it less laggy while watching 720p vids on youtube) still recommend u watch it in 480p but if u want to play some games then yeah install it under hardware
Cons: took a while for me to get the wifi right but im here to share with you how to install it easily with ubuntu 9.10 (look below)
Overall Review: For those who cannot get the wireless to work on linux (ubuntu 9.10) here's how -go to realtek's website for driver support (download section) -Choose "communications network ICs>wireless lan ICs>WLAN NIC> then choose b/g/n single chip> software > now choose "RTL8192SE" -(For simplicity just download it to "Downloads" folder) -go to the folder, click "Extract Here" (I renamed the extracted folder as "RTL8192"" -Open up the application "terminal" type the following in terminal: sudo su cd Downloads |note that the letter the folder begins w/ a capital D| cd RTL8192SE make make install reboot gk (this will reboot the computer) then press Fn + F2 and watch for the wifi light to light up. All done ^^
