If I buy this refurbished is the quality like new? Is it scratch free and all the hardware is working properly?

Factory refurbished is the most underrated secret in technology. To my knowledge, anything factory refurbished has been extensively tested (usually to a higher degree than a new item) and then as I've always assumed the casing is replaced, as anything I've ever bought refurbished looks brand new - for usually a couple hundred less. I bought one of these for my sister earlier this year, factory refurbished and it runs fine and looked brand new. I also bought my brother's computer refurbished last year. More often than not I would actually recommend refurbished, if something you're considering is available just for the sheer amount of money you save on basically a brand new product.

Does this come with MS Office (Xcel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) already installed in Windows 8?

Accepted Answer

No. Most laptops that list Ms Office as included software just have a trial version. You will be required to purchase it separately.
