Is a battery charger included?

Yes, a charger is included. There is a standard 3 prong male plug (that goes into the wall outlet) to clover style female plug that goes to a slim power brick, then from the power brick is an attached cord that will go to the laptop. All of that is included.

The wall outlet to clover cord is pretty short (around 2 ft), but looks like a standard clover plug, so you could get a replacement that is longer if you wish afterwards.

Question 2

What is the provided models refresh rate, its strange this is not provided. as per this model type it can be 60 or 120 hz displays , having knowledge of which one is required info for the ASUS FX505DY-ES51 so we can better gauge the product?

According to the manufacturer and the numerous video's on youtube about this model and upgrades and hard drives yes there is a SATA port for adding in another HDD or SDD hard drive.  It requires that you unscrew and take over the entire bottom face of the laptop but its pretty easy.
