Pros: This laptop only weighs 2Kg and it packs an 8 core 16 thread CPU, as well as an RTX 3080 Max Q. Plenty of RAM and fast NVMe storage. Long battery life, especially considering the specs. Excellent cooling solution, much quieter than my previous laptop, and lower temps too. A 240Hz panel that's the sweet spot in resolution for this laptop size and color calibrated out of the factory.
Cons: Only con is previous model had a mechanical keyboard an this one doesn't.
Overall Review: I love this laptop, it runs every single game I have tested maxed out, at fast frame rates, I really like how much power has been packed into such a small footprint, and for this weight class. Cyberpunk 2077 looks gorgeous on this panel and runs with all settings maxed out, even ray tracing, using DLSS. I added a second, 2TB NVMe SSD and it was an easy upgrade, removing the bottom panel gives you full access to the second NVMe slot as well as the RAM. So far my CPU is boosting to 4.4GHz on all cores while gaming, and my GPU stays hovering at around 1.6GHz, temperatures are well managed without the fans being overly loud. This laptop will be the perfect traveling companion for people looking to play their AAA while on the go.
Pros: -Display is amazing! The colors are great. Some people say the display is a little dim but I think the screen brightness is plenty! I had no issues using the laptop outside. -Speakers are very crisp and clear. -Battery life is great! (Approximately 7 hours with daily tasks for me) For those who need more battery life, you can put your laptop in battery saver mode and turn down the screen brightness a little for your daily tasks. When gaming, every laptop should be plugged in for the most power! -This is a gaming powerhouse ready to handle any game you throw at it! -I really love the design and keyboard. This laptop feels very premium. -Stays cool when gaming and yes this means your fans are working hard and are noisy but this is expected with almost every gaming laptop! -Daily tasks, the fans are pretty quiet and you can always edit the fan curve to make it quieter but for me its perfect in its normal fan settings. I have no problem keeping the laptop on my lap with daily tasks. -Update your laptop! Go to AORUS control center - Smart Utilities - Smart Update - Update All - I am a firm believer that every PC should have a good antivirus installed. Please protect yourself! Overall- Incredible Laptop!
Cons: -Camera placement -Bloatware. As your first task when getting this laptop I recommend uninstalling all the bloatware.
Overall Review: Laptop is Amazing!
Pros: My wife and I wanted to upgrade our gaming desktop PC, but we haven't been able to get ahold of any graphics cards. The rx580, however just can't keep up for VR like we wanted. This machine handles VR like a champ as long as it's plugged in to the wall.
Cons: The power brick cable is a little loose, and it's easy to accidentally pull it out enough for it to stop charging. Don't expect to do any VR with it unplugged from the wall, but I wasn't really expecting to anyways.
Overall Review: Despite other reviewers beating 10,000 in time spy, I was never able to break 9700 even with forcing the dgpu and turning on the fans to the max. Maybe I could with an overclock, but I just don't see much point in overclocking a laptop gpu. This puts it roughly on par with a desktop 2070 super, which is still pretty awesome given the power and heat constraints.
Pros: -90w (105w boost) 3080 max-q. Verified via MSI afterburner. The other guy on here saying it's a 105w base is incorrect. -3800 Cinebench r20, out of box. -10200 Timespy, 21300 Firestrike, out of box. -Cooling is very good on this system. I haven't had fan noise this palatable since my Lenovo y740. (Legendary accoustics.) During CoD MW, I'll generally average 75-85c, 45w on the CPU and 75-80c, 90-95w on GPU.
Cons: The keyboard is not the mechanical variant. Keys are a little close together compared to the MSI GE66 that this laptop replaced. Port placement. Not a fan of the power port being on the side.
Overall Review: RTX 30xx gen stuff has dynamic boost. In some games, where CPU load is minimal, CPU wattage will cap at around 15w and the GPU will boost to 105w. During this time, fan acoustics are incredible. The screen is average to above average on color reproduction and brightness. Not bad, but not good. Thermals are good enough out of box that I will not be repasting. This is the first time I've been able to say that in years. Well done, Aorus.
Pros: Great performance, build quality, keyboard, screen color correction.
Cons: Screen hinge could be tighter, no control center dedicated button
Overall Review: Overall this is a great 3070 laptop. I has the intel, which performs in gaming about similar to the Ryzen. It is a 90w but dont let that scare you, I get 9800 on Timespy which is just 7% behind the Max P 3070 and Ryzen combo, but the other computer is bulky and a slightly overrated cooling system. The Aorus is a great laptop and I am coming from an Asus Strix, and previous to that MSI Raider. This is the non mechanical keyboard and no metal chassis version. They will most likely bring those out later this year or next year with the "super" line.
Pros: Much brighter RGB and new features including the new Raindrop setting in Aorus Engine.
Overall Review: Yes I would recommend to a friend.
Pros: Fast processer, comes with 32BG of ram Preforms well with thermals under load while gaming It is lighter than I thought it would be. Has a privacy cover for the camera.
Cons: The internet and power wire placement being on the sides instead of the rear.
Overall Review: I've had no issues with this laptop. It is fast, and will run the newest games in high quality with ease. The 240hz screen feels very nice. The speakers do a good enough job for when you are not using a headset.

Pros: -Great Thermals -Non Wining Fan(Huge deal to me) -Very light for the performance -Fast -RAM, SSD(2 slots), and WiFi card are upgradable -Great overclocking potential
Cons: -HDMI 2.1 is not connected directly to dGPU -Short Battery life -Webcam on bottom(at least it has one) -Keyboard layout is cramped and takes time to get used to -Cannot be undervolted
Overall Review: I don’t usually leave reviews, but since this laptop is so new, it thought I’d do so. To start, this laptop is actually pretty good for what you pay for, though for $1,799 I think you should get 1TB of storage, but I guess they even that out with the 32GB of RAM. I love how low key this laptop is. Looking very closely at the vents would be the only way to know this is a gaming laptop for most. The per-key RGB is very clean, and weight wise, this is one of the lightest gaming laptops I’ve had, if not the lightest. It is also very thin while coming with 3 full USB 3 ports, a USB type C with DisplayPort, a Mini DisplayPort, and HDMI port, as well as a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port. Getting to performance. At stock, this laptop is on par with a higher end 2070 Super(mobile), which, at first, I’m not gonna lie, was disappointing. In TimeSpy, I got an overall score of 8981, with a GPU score of 8949 and a CPU score of 9173. Running Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 1080p, with the Highest Preset an DLSS off as well as Ray Tracing off I got 100-104FPS using the built in benchmark. Do not be discouraged though, because this system has some fun tricks. This laptop has an MUX switch, that can either be toggled in the Control Center or BIOS(use the control center for switching graphics options, otherwise the Control Center application acts funny). For those who don’t know, this means the laptop is capable of turning off the integrated GPU and just running the dedicated GPU. After disabling the iGPU I get overall TimeSpy scores of 9548, with a GPU score of 9489, and a CPU score of 9898. Using the same settings in Shadow of the Tomb I now got 118FPS. At this point, I’m beating the 2070 Super and am almost reaching my Area51M with it’s overclocked 2080 and desktop i7. (I 124FPS on that laptop) which is much thicker and heavier might I add. At this point, thermals are at 70C on the GPU and 81C on the CPU. Switching the fans to max, and overclocking the GPU yielded interesting results. With a core overclock of 220Mhz, and a memory overclock of 104Mhz, the system got an overall TimeSpy score of 10080. With the GPU scoring 10122, and the CPU scoring 9849. With the same SotTR benchmark I got 126FPS. That was amazing. This system is beating a 2080(mobile) and at this point in stones throw of a 2080 Super mobile. A quick note on 4K performance. I don’t have a monitor with a DisplayPort, so this testing was done with a 4K LG OLED through HDMI with G-Sync enabled. Due to how the connection is setup, 4K performance through the HDMI ran better with Optimus enabled. Shadow of the Tomb raider ran at 40FPS fully stock, not overclocked. This test was run 4 times yielding the exact same result. I did not test with the GPU overclocked. With DLSS enabled, this game could probably be run at 4K 60FPS. I noted a minimum frame rate of 36FPS. As is seen, with some tweaking, this system runs close to it’s Max-P sibling. Also, the Intel CPU isn’t holding it back at all, something I was nervous about. If you mainly do gaming, streaming, and even things like video editing, this laptop can do so easily. A few smaller things, the fans on this machine can get loud, but the fans don’t wine, which means they aren’t annoying. The keyboard is cramped and took a few days for me to get up to speed. The keyboard backlighting is even and sharp(this is per-key RGB, so it’s very customizable). There is some uneven backlighting on the bottom from my unit. Battery life is about 4-5 hours with the brightness set to 50% in Windows streaming Netflix. Overall, this is a good laptop. Also a quick side note. Out of the box, this laptop can run Linux distros with ease. Everything works running PopOS 20.10. Setting the lighting in Windows and going to Linux, nothing changes and the settings stay consistent. Also, because you can change the GPU selection in BIOS, you don’t need to use a software GPU selector to change modes. I’ve attached a few pictures of the top TimeSpy score as well as the GPU selector for reference.
