Microsoft Surface Laptop 13.8" Notebook - Intel Core Ultra 5 - 32 GB - 512 GB SSD - Windows 11 Pro - Webcam - Wi-Fi - EP2-47740

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 8 (EP2-47740) is a thin-and-light 13.8-inch Windows 11 Pro laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 5 335, 32GB memory, and a 512GB NVMe SSD, suited to business users and multitaskers who want a portable work computer.

Recommended For

• Mobile Windows professionals who carry a laptop between meetings or work locations and mainly use business apps, browser tabs, email, and video calls; the 13.8-inch, under-3-pound design is suited to that routine.
• Office and research users who keep many documents, spreadsheets, and browser tabs open at once; this configuration’s 32GB of memory gives them room for that multitasking workflow.
• Organizations standardizing on Windows business laptops that want Windows 11 Pro, a touchscreen, and a compact system for everyday employee productivity.
• People who want a traditional laptop with a responsive touchscreen for browsing, reading, and direct on-screen interaction, but do not need a convertible tablet design.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• For office work involving documents, spreadsheets, email, and many browser tabs, the 32 GB configuration provides room to keep several work apps open while switching between tasks.
• For working between home, the office, and meetings, its compact 13.8-inch design is easier to carry than a larger laptop, while Windows 11 Pro suits common business workflows.
• For video meetings and remote work, the built-in webcam and Windows laptop setup make it practical for calls alongside email, documents, and other everyday work apps.
• For studying or everyday personal use, the touchscreen and 3:2 display are suited to reading web pages, reviewing documents, and navigating with touch; it remains a conventional laptop rather than a detachable tablet.
• For travel or working away from an outlet, it can handle typical web-based work and media use; battery runtime will vary with brightness, apps, and workload, so Microsoft’s test figures are not a guarantee of a full workday.
• For light creative tasks such as photo touch-ups and preparing presentations, the touchscreen and integrated graphics can support everyday editing; demanding 3D work or sustained graphics-heavy projects are a better fit for a laptop with a discrete GPU.
