Question 1

I am looking to buy a refurbished for my mother.  She has an older printer that works wonderfully, but I need a PC that has the older printer port (not usb, the large one)?

If you are looking for a computer for basic internet usage and printing with a parallel port, this one would be just fine.  However, if your mother uses anything graphics intensive (e.g. video editing) you would need something more powerful.  If she stores large amounts of video or anything keep in mind this only has an 80GB hard drive.  All that being said, we use these for simple workstations to run off our company server and are very pleased with our purchase!

Question 2

Is windows 7 home the 32 bit verison?

Mine came with a Windows 7 32 bit Home Edition WITHOUT a product key.

I believe there was a sticker with a code on it, but I cannot confirm this.

I used a key from somewhere else on mine.

Is there a manual on this machine?

Search Google to find "Thinkcentre m57". Click the support link on the official Lenovo site. It also has links to downloads for items such drivers if you need to reinstall the OS.
Great machine; I would recommend a Lenovo any day. they are rugged, take a beating, and come back for more. I also run Ubuntu on my machine. I hope this helps. (protocol seems to forbid me from posting a link to Lenovo, hope you get this link okay) :)

Reviews say this is not a core 2 duo, the product listing clearly states that it is.  Can you confirm or deny?

I can not confirm or deny. It is installed at a dance studio for internet access and to play music files, so it is not here to check the system. I can say it works fine for playing music files and you-tube videos.
