Samsung Gear VR (Virtual Reality Headset)

Pros: Easy setup, and if you like Netflix then this is a no Brainer. I just received it today and binge watched 4 episodes of Arrow. Decent selection of small games and apps as well. Look forward to tinkering with.

Cons: Some apps and games are fairly expensive and I cannot justify paying without trying a demo of. The headset isn't too heavy and the foam padding is nice but you do feel the weight of it after long periods of time. Device does heat up a bit too with extended use.

Overall Review: I'm using this with a brand new Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, so I don't know how an experience will be with a smaller phone. To me it's worth it for Netflix alone with a pair of headphones to shut out everything around you.

Pros: - Well designed and quality construction - Relatively low price point to get started in VR -- if you have a compatible Samsung smartphone - Plenty of free experiences to download and check out - Good motion tracking, 95% of the time no jerkiness when you look around - Easy to setup, plug in your phone and it tells you what to do

Cons: - I didn't think it was so comfortable I would keep it on to watch an entire movie - Netflix app was laggy and almost unwatchable, could have been just me - You'll spend some time downloading, especially right out of the box - Screen door effect and seeing pixels is sometimes distracting - Lenses will fog up occasionally, ventilation could be better

Overall Review: VR for consumers is just now arriving. As soon as you have your first VR experience, you will agree this where the future is heading. Prices will come down and technology will get better, so yes, you could wait. But if you already have one of the Samsung phones that are compatible, buying this is a no-brainer. You'll get your money's worth and then some as you dabble and play in VR. Plus it's always a hit with friends and family. I took it to a Christmas party and there was line formed to try it out - everyone loved it.

Pros: That is what everyone exclaimed when I let them try it out.

Cons: My Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge warmed up fairly quick until I installed the "Cooler Master" app.

Overall Review: I added HMDX jam TRANSIT Model HX-HP420BKA bluetooth wireless headphones and Moga Hero Power bluetooth gamepad to complete the experience. It all fits into a Lowepro Adentura SH 160 II camera case.

Pros: looks cool

Cons: doesn't work with my phone and won't give full refund.

Overall Review: I wanted a refund. I didn't get one
