Samsung QLED is a budget TV. But a very good one. 12/14/2019 7:10:03 PM

Pros: beautiful picture, deep blacks, white whites. 55" is perfect for me.

Cons: leg placement is wider than I think it could be.
Speakers are just OK, I would like front firing speakers, I known they can't be very big.
2 USB ports, Could use at least 1 more.

Pros: everything you throw at it looks amazing, and as a monitor it's a 55" screen! gsync can be enabled if game mode and freesync are enabled in tv settings. supports 1440p @120hz with a pc. other outlets say these panels are impervious to permanent burn-in. built in 2.1 sound is really good too.
Doom reported highest response time at 10ms! not bad for a tv.

Cons: only supports 60hz in 4k, but that's a dent in frame rates anyway. since its a tv, there's a little work involved with getting freesync and your video card working right with HDR and 1440p@120.

Overall Review: If you have a glob of money to spend on a monitor, or you need something to double as a pc monitor and a tv in a tight space, this is a GOOD monitor/tv. high refresh, accurate and bright colors, and tons of options to boot.
lots of big box stores also offer open box deals, which is where i got mine. if you're coming off 60hz gaming finally, like me, and you're used to big screens or multiple monitors, its a great option.
once you put it into "game mode" freesync can be enabled. "ultimate" option is what you want, and nvidia control panel should show the modes as "RGB" and "full" for color space. select 2560x1440 and 120hz, and you're off to the races. with the newest tv firmware and nvidia drivers, gsync is selectable at this point.
