Pros: The reviews on this tv are misleading. This TV was designed for 4k native resolution. For what it was engineered for (4K @ 30Hz) its perfect. You need a video output source that is powerful enough to produce the native resolution of the TV. If you're watching a movie (25fps) 30Hz at 4k2k with the recommended video source would look and perform great. You can either buy a very expensive uhd upscaled 4k blu ray player or run this directly out of your $400 graphics card. I would recommend a GTX680 or higher. This panel is 10 bit (30bit) upscaled. This isn't your expensive 10 bit true video board. Most likely they are using a 8 bit video board with FRC to upscale it 2 more bits. This is one way of doing it and its much cheaper. The response time is high which is normal assuming this is a IPS type panel with 178 viewing angle. Typically IPS and PLS panels have great viewing angles. TN panels have faster response times but the colors and viewing angles aren't as good. Notice its a DLED panel direct led panels are cheaper and cost less to manufacture. So this is most likely a cell type lcd with a AD board. Almost impossible to find replacements.
Cons: Upscaling, DLED
Overall Review: For the home user that wants to watch movies at 4k with the recommened/correct video source this is perfect. CHan
