PALiT NE/88TSSXT302 GeForce 8800GTS (G92) SONIC 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: The best video card buy for me EVER! It is super fast and in some benches even beats the 8800 Ultra. It stays super cool in my system, about 43C to 45C under load in my system, granted my case is a RAIDMAX Smilodon Extreme w/ Dirktooth (extra 80mm fan in the door over my video card) It is built very solid. Most games (Lineage 2, Vanguard, Oblivion) run smooth at max or near max settings at 1920 x 1200 rez. I never knew Lineage 2 would look so good. It rivals my friend's 8800 Ultra for hundreds less. Very, very Stable in my system. I can run 5 (yes 5)Lineage 2 clients at one time at max settings and this VC doesn't miss a beat.

Cons: I don't like the color, but I am color blind and I think it may be green or orange... I don't like green much, I would rather it was blue. It is very big. In my MB (ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX)I may not be able to run this in SLI because it is too close to my other PCI x16 slot because of it's size. It told me that I was fat when I took it out of the box.. very bad manners, those Europian video cards...

Overall Review: Eventhough I may not be able to run this in SLI with my motherboard (I might have room but it will be close if it works), I would rather find a new MB than choose another video card. Then again, my MB is pretty sweet too. I am totaly happy with this buy. My system is: Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz, ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI, 8g G.SKILL DDR2 800(PC2 6400)Dual Channel, PALiT NE/88TSSXT302 GeForce 8800GTS (G92) 1GB, in a RAIDMAX Smilodon Extreme ATX case, running Vista Ultimate x64

Pros: This one card alone - Blows away my previous SLI setup: 2 EVGA Superclocked 7900 GTX's. Very nice OC out of the box - Palit is top notch boutique. Not as heavy as I thought it was. Using Copper heat pipes and aluminum fins. Very nice design. Only requires one 6-pin PCI-e connector.

Cons: Extremely long card. Dual-slot design with almost require right-angle sata cables if you plan on using lots of HDD's for any RAID array. Proprietary cooling solution due to not following the Nvidia reference design - hence the 1GB memory buffer.

Overall Review: No need for SLI unless you run a 24" LCD with 1920x1200 + resolutions. Even then this card will hold its own by itself. Runs anything I throw at it at 1280x1024 on my NEC 90GX2 19" I'm basically CPU bound. Running AMD FX-60 @ 3.2GHz 200*16. Still a contenda!

Pros: My max completely stable OC is 800/2000/2200. At these speeds it crushes an ultra and even a new 9800 GTX clocked at the same speeds due to that cards latency issues. To top it off it has twice the vram and the best cooler around. You will not find a better single gpu card until PALiT puts out a GTX version. Runs very very cool at between 35C (idle) and 61C after 5 hours of running crysis on max. Fan speed cranked up to 70%.

Cons: Doesn't direct airflow out the back too well... though surprisingly that hasn't had an effect on my ambient temps.

Pros: the best card out here 1gb is great benefit if you are running at 1600p i have pcmark vantage point 6252 and 3dmark06 21045 with just plugged the card in and run the test (2 way sli)

Cons: The Card is very long if you using this in sli and have asus striker formular II you will have a problem to put the card in #2 slot (the card is way too long you have to bend the front panel connector pin).

Pros: Fast! Runs cool.

Cons: Large size can cause problems with cables that must stretch around it, RAM SIMMS, etc. I was thisssss close to not getting it to fit in my motherboard.

Overall Review: Out of the box, it ran great except that as soon as I started a particular game, it would blank the screen within 5 minutes. Computer was running fine, but the video would be shut down. Strangely, the problem would usually not re-occur after rebooting and starting the game a 2nd time. Got the most recent drivers and the problem is now a thing of the past.

Pros: Nice O/C, custom cooler, custom 3-phase power system, 1GB of DDR3.

Cons: Would have liked a better game than Tomb Raider: Anniversary.

Overall Review: For those who don't know, this card beats a 9800GTX. A 9800GTX uses the same G92 core as the 8800GTS 512 and the 8800GT. A 9800GTX is clocked @ 675/1675/2200 whereas this card is clocked @ 730/1825/2100. The memory bandwidth is 100mhz less but it still easily beats a 9800GTX @ it's stock settings. I am running this card on a E8400, ASUS P5K Premium, 4GB DDR2 800, 2X320GB SATAII drives in RAID0, Vista Home Premium x64. Also, Cookie monster, Palit makes the cards for Gainward......though I too would prefer Gainwards Black Heatsink, but then again the Palit matches perfectly with my Crucial Ballistix.

Pros: The FPS in COD4 were higher than with 2 8800GTX on the same rig and 24" monitor.(I bought 2 and have them in SLI) The copper look of the cards looks very sweet in my case.

Cons: They are huge and boxed in from end to end. It gets in the way of my SATA cable inputs. I was able to work around this. Also, Going SLI I had to omit my X-FI sound card. I have had some stability issues with my setup. However, they seem tto always go back to vista or nvidia drivers. I seem to have less issues after SP1, P32 bios(680i chipset), and all drivers updated.

Overall Review: BFG 680i mobo 4gb giel ddr2 800mhz ram @ 4-4-4-15-2t 4 150gb raptpors Raid 0 (paired off) Vista 64 Ult.

Pros: Runs extremely cool, <40 as compared to my other overclocked GTS that would run at about 66.

Overall Review: I bought this card with high hopes, as it was one of the fastest cards out there at the time, it's essentially an overclocked 9800gtx. The only problem was it was extremely unstable and my system would crash constantly while gaming regardless of system temperature. I eventually returned the card as the main reason that I purchased the card was to increase low-end performance which turned out to be CPU related more than anything (e6850 oc'd). I had initially planned on purchasing two of these cards.
