With all the processors, cards, fans, add-ons and being added to systems today, it's harder to find the power to you need without overheating! Your relief has arrived! Here's extreme PC power & cooling performance and reliability, with 750W of continuous power and a peak power of 825W!
It features a powerful single 12V rail rated at 60A continuous. The ultra-quiet cooling design leaves the inlet wide open, so 90% less noise is generated per watt with an impressive 83% efficiency. The active PFC (.99) neatly handles input sags and surges and eliminates the need for an 110V to 220V input switch. Automatic fan speed control minimizes noise without sacrificing proper cooling.
This power supply has a 24-pin main connector, a 4-pin 12V connector, an 8-pin 12V CPU connector, 8 peripheral connectors, 6 SATA connectors, a floppy connector, and two PCI-E connectors, two 6-pin to 8-pin PCI-E connectors. The Silencer 750 Quad is NVIDIA SLI and CrossFire certified. This economical, ultra-quiet power supply is backed by a 5-Year warranty and support.
EPS12V Compatible Compatible with the EPS12V standard, the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply provides maximum power stability to drive the latest Intel and AMD processors as well as other components for desktop and even sever computer systems.
750W Maximum Power The PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply provides a maximum power of 750W for a safe, reliable output for high-end computer systems.
NVIDIA SLI Certified Featuring four 6-pin PCI-E power connectors, the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply has gone through a series of rigorous NVIDIA SLI certification tests for maximum system stability when building NVIDIA SLI PCs.
ATI CrossFire Certified The PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply has gone through a series of rigorous ATI CrossFire certification tests for maximum system stability when building CrossFire Ready multi-video-card PCs.
Ultra-Quiet Cooling Design The PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply employs an innovative, ultra-quiet design at the inlet side of the PSU fan for minimized air turbulence. By constructing a noise suppression air gap, no air turbulence and obstruction exist within 1" at the fan inlet, resulting in an ultra-quiet operation.
Pros: Absolutely rock solid. PC P&C's PSUs were always rock solid. I've used them in every system I've ever owned (since 1994 ish) til recently. MY main game rig has used the same 750w Silencer for going on 9 almost 10yrs now. Same PSU, still as good as the day it was made.
Cons:
-Discontinued
-Company bought by OCZ
Overall Review:
Update June 2019 (7 years later): STILL GOING STRONG....
though heading to semi-retirement finally because the mobo in the 14 year old gaming system it's been powering finally died. I shall keep this P/S for the custom FreeNAS server I plan to build. This is like the million mile F150 of power supplies y'all.
Pros: Everything
Cons: None
Overall Review: Over the twelve years that I had this before it finally died. This psu has seen many different cases, video cards, hard drives, ssds, cpus, mobos, custom water cooling, aio water cooling and more. I replaced it with the newer mk3 version and I expect it to last me twelve years as well. PC Power and Cooling has made a customer for life.
Pros: I came here just trying to find out how old this PSU is, that I bought so long ago I don't remember. Think it may be failing (spontaneous reboot, am testing SSD too) which would be a shame. But heck it's old enough to not have the 80+ sticker on it. I had it in several old gamers before using it to built a PC for my mother and it's been in there for the last almost 4 years. I'll probably replace it with a new EVGA just to be safe, and retire it to emergency use. Mine is a beautiful bronze/red sparkle color and feels so solid, not like a lot of PSUs out there today, that I don't expect to get 10 years out of. I bought my current Silencer 1200 for my I9 gamer because of the track record of this old PSU.
Cons: It went 10 years, what cons...
Overall Review: I have nothing but good to say about PC Power & Cooling.
Pros: I happen to look back through my Newegg purchase history and saw that it was almost exactly 10 years ago the I purchased the PC Power and Cooling S75QB 750 watt power supply. One of my best tech purchases ever.
Cons: Absolutely none
Overall Review: This thing has been a rock. It has powered my main rig for a decade. That includes several hardware refreshes, but the one thing I never had to purchase again was a power supply.
Pros: I built my first PC in 2008 and upgraded in 2012. About to do a complete rebuild when I realized this PSU has lasted for 10 years strong! Still fairly quite, though my GPU is overclocked and easily the loudest thing in my system. Way to PC Power and Cooling, ya'll made an excellent piece of hardware.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: It's older, not modular, but I knew that going in.
Pros:
-Durable
-Robust
Cons: -None come to mind
Overall Review: Used it for seven years between two computer upgrades. I ended up replacing it for my third build just to be safe, but it still seems to work just fine.
Pros: 9 years of overclocking,multi-GPU mining,power outages,dust. I wouldn't be getting a new one if I didn't need 1200+ watts.
Cons: None, absolutely none
