Trosyd Fungal Nail Treatment What is Trosyd? Trosyd is an anti fungal medication, which is used to treat infections that are caused by mould, yeasts and fungi. It comes in solution form and contains the active ingredient tioconazole. How does Trosyd work? Trosyd nail solution penetrates the membranes of the cells, which are causing the infection, and causes them to break down and die. Infections of the nail are difficult to treat because of the fact that nails are hard to penetrate and they take a long time to grow.
How do I use Trosyd? Trosyd nail solution is applied to the infected nail twice a day. It is painted onto the nail like a nail varnish. When it is applied Trosyd forms a film on the surface of the nail, which lets the medicine penetrate the hard surface of the nail and reach the nail bed where the infection is located. How long do I need to use Trosyd nail solution? You need to continue using Trosyd nail solution until the infected part of the nail has grown out. As nails grow slowly this process can take between six and twelve months.
