Pros: After owning ATI video cards for the last 10 years and consistently being let down by them I decided to return to NVIDIA. I made the correct choice. This thing runs everything I through at it flawlessly, Duke Nukem, Crysis 2, Oblivian 2. I never see frame jerks. Switches between windows desktop and games without hesitation or problems.
Cons: Temps, plain and simple the hottest running card I've owned. I've seen this card reach 64 C/ 147 F when rescuing babes with Duke Nukem, granted that’s with the settings on max. It’s just hard for me to accept those temps when my cpu has a water cooling system that keeps it at a max of 36 C / 96 F when gaming.
Overall Review: I recommend this card to anyone looking to save money but still wants a current gen chipset. Just for fun I installed Half life 2: Lost Coast, set the display settings to max and ran the speed test. It averaged 230 fps….not to shabby. Now if you’ll excuse me I need to go rescue some babes from the alien pigs.
