Polk Audio TL1600 5.1 Compact Surround Sound Home Theater System with Powered Subwoofer

Pros: Nice speakers.. The sound from those Small speakers really amazing & you wont regret if you buy it. I have paired it with my Yamaha RX V673... both of them are ultimate & I am enjoying real theater experience at my home.... The sound from the sub is also awesome... crisp & clear sound..

Pros: These little things make such a big sound it's almost unbelievable! Crisp clear highs and mids,. The bass is superb. My yamaha receiver was always struggling to put sound out thru the yamaha 5.1 set that came with it. These polk audio beauties sound 10x better for dolby pro logic movies.. and the improvement for music is immeasurable. Light years ahead. I hear the subtle nuances of Red Barchetta by rush that my old speakers couldn't come close to squeaking out . I'd recommend this powered surround speakers set to anyone looking for good surround sound.

Overall Review: The satellites sound great. The center seemed a little muffled but after receiver adjustments everything is dialed in. Way better than any sound bar. A true SURROUND sound experience.

Pros: Shipped fast! just got today and do not have the back hooked up yet. I will update once everything it done. Yes they did not send with speaker wire but that is normally to small for my liking and you should not write a negative review because you are cheap... These little things are impressive the little sub is rocks. For my second surround sound in my house and spending way less then half the money on them as I did on the other system, I love them. I am sure the update will be good.. HERE is the update.. all speakers hooked up to old Denon AVR-x2200w used the mic to configure and the sub sounds amazing for its size. This Polk set is great sound in a small package. I was happy they had the simple hole to mount on the wall made it easy.

Overall Review: Very Small speakers. The price is great. I talked my uncle into 2 sets and I will say he will not be disappointed.

Pros: Not very demanding of space, it can fit in nearly any home theater set up. Sound is good for the price. Relatively inexpensive nowadays. 1/4" threaded insert and keyhole.

Cons: Without tower or bookshelf speakers these would lack quite a bit of power The subwoofer is not very dynamic but its to be expected of an 8". For those of you who find it a problem it doesn't come with speaker wire. Center is clear and pretty good but not the best in big rooms.

Overall Review: They haven't failed me yet, I will likely update if they do. However this is a really good inexpensive system for any medium size room that requires flexibility and not the most accurate flat sounds, also don't expect too much power through these smaller satellite speakers. You can listen to music with them, but for the most part I would recommend it to novices looking for something that will definitely give a more general theater experience. Perhaps for family or friends but don't expect to wow a party or many audiophiles. Also I believe tower or bookshelf speakers are absolutely necessary no matter what you use it for, but a powerful amp or receiver won't do much for these. 5 stars relative of price to performance so far, I currently have no reference or experience with anything else from Polk. I would expect anyone who has could give more detail on how it sounds. Again for a small rooms entertaining a small group it does wonders from stereo, and 3.1 systems, as would nearly any 5.1/7.1 system. But this System is overall quite clear and decently crisp if that is what you are looking for, can't afford much more, and also already own more powerful stereo speakers, then I definitely recommend these. If you are stopping at 5.1 for a while there are other systems I would look for before considering these.
