Pros: Powerful... So many reviews on the net have already explained just what this thing can do and it lives up to the hype. I am running on a somewhat modest gaming machine (q6600 oc'd with 6gb ram etc) and noticed a pretty big jump from the gtx 460 1gb even on stock settings. I play a wide range of games but really saw a boost in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I haven't had a chance to overclock the card but don't find much of a need with my current processor (I'll definitely try it though!). It sits around 40 degrees idle and pushes around 60-65 under full load. It will be interesting to see how the catalyst drivers evolve to make this thing even better.
Cons: Huge and rather loud when pushing the fan past 40 percent speed. Once you hit 60 to 100 percent, it sounds like a vacuum cleaner is running in your computer. When idle, it is as quiet as any other card out there, just make sure you set the fan to the speeds you want in CCC. Requires two 6 pin connectors and as another reviewer mentioned, no adapters are included in the box so be aware of that. As aforementioned, the card is rather large and unless you have mid-tower or larger case, it is doubtful this thing will fit. Also consider where your hard drives or other parts of motherboard stick out as there may be conflicts. I would assume most newegg customers already know what they are doing in this aspect but I figure a word of warning could be helpful to those who do not.
Overall Review: I am not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. I am using a 550w Rosewill psu and have no problems with power. Per manufacture website, the specified minimum is 500 watts and I would assume that is sufficient. Glad to see ATI and Nvidia in healthy competition again.
