Lenovo ThinkServer TS140 Tower Server System Intel Core i3-4130 3.4 GHz 4GB 70A4000HUX
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Inexpensive cheap server solution or minimal desktop solution for most uses.

Cons: No enterprise server.

Other Thoughts: I bought 6 for desktop replacements with i3 processors. Built 4 with win 7, then started other configs, server 2012 r2. Put in some ssd drives and it really cooks ( not for games- video just ok). May buy some more. Hard to find a used machines for $230 with decent specs. No sleep mode, but not that useful for me.

1 out of 5 eggs Big 5 Lacie- Don't Buy 10/13/2011

This review is from: LACIE 301525U 10TB 5big Network 2 Professional 5-Bay RAID Server

Pros: Big and fast. Support answered email within an hour- but was could not solve problem.

Cons: Had for my yearbook- yet when Mac upgraded to Lion, it would not work with it. Contacted Lacie- they basically said - too bad. You don't invest in a NAS to have it not be available within 2 years because of a OS upgrade- you support it. Flas a bios or something. Lacie has really get us down on this one.

Other Thoughts: Avoid companies which do not support their equipment!
