1 out of 5 eggs Does not work for me 07/01/2013

This review is from: Patriot Xporter XT Rage 64GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model PEF64GRUSB

Pros: None

Cons: Bought two of these.

Tried plugging each into 2 different machines running Windows 7. They are not recognized.

If I insert the USB drive and reboot, the OS recognizes the device. But that is useless to me-- I want plug and play. I don't want to reboot the machine to have the USB drive recognized.

Tried to reformat one of them to NTSB (With and without using Quick Format.) No good. Drive still not recognized when I plug in. It's seen as a unformatted / write protected drive.

I plan to do a RMA on these two turds.

5 out of 5 eggs 02/18/2012

This review is from: VANGUARD TRACKER 1 Tripod

Pros: Good construction. I like that the verticle tube can be reversed to allow the camera to be placed under the tripod legs for macro shots and shots of items on floor / table.

Cons: A little heavy for carrying around on hike. Best for home shots, family events, scenery shots

ASUS GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) DirectX 11 ENGTX460 DirectCU/2DI/1GD5 1GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: None

Cons: Installed in new ASUS P8Z68. Not detected by BIOS or MOBO VGA installation utility for 32 or 64 bit Win7 OS installation.

Other Thoughts: Was under time constraint and sent in rebate form before fully checking everything. MISTAKE. This is about the 10th system I've built in 10 years and never had a bad I/O card out of the box. Looks like there's a first time for everything! I figured the problem was a jumper or bios setting on the MOBO. Finally after returning from out of town and getting time to investigate more I am throwing in the towel and claiming it's a bad board.

Unfortunately, Newegg won't RMA because of submitted rebate and now I have to deal with ASUS support.

Hopey they stand behind their product as well as Newegg has for me in the past.
