This review is from: Gamdias GHS-3500 Hephaestus V2 Stereo lighting Wired gaming Headset
Pros: Absolutely marvelous design and product plan, unless you want something wonderful that lasts two weeks and then dies.
Cons: RIP in two weeks. Does anyone really care how special and perfectly designed this headset is if it will only last a fortnight? I know I don't and if you have a head on your shoulders that actually functions don't buy this unit because it won't after a couple of weeks.
Other Thoughts: Newegg would do themselves well by throwing in the towel on this brand and go for something that is built to last. I bought a set of cheaper headphones and then after about a week bought these because of the design and price. Boy, am I smart, that is if you folks measure equipment IQ below 50 as Einstein smart. Personally, I don't and will try to improve my thinking process the next time around but in the meantime will use my el cheapos which still work just fine, thank you.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS USB-BT400 USB 2.0 Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter
Pros: Average unit for the average job.
Cons: ASUS being ASUS is the main problem. First, they oversell the positives and "forget" to even tell you about what you might normally expect but definitely won't get. The bottom line is ASUS used to be both a great innovator and provider of support. Now they do poorly at both, support being non-existent. Try to get anything out of them by phone, email, letter, chat or even prayer will get you nowhere. They are like the fish you caught last week, smelly and it leaves a really bad taste in your mouth. Do yourself a favor and avoid their products.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I have a general distaste for formula based outline reviews, however, out of respect for this site and company and you the reader I will do my best to give it a go.
The pros are these but not necessarily in order of importance:
1). The Cheetahs are cheap;
2). They work pretty well (mine were Bluetooth);
3). The Cheetah, at least, has drivers that work seamlessly with Windows 10 Pro, 64bit, Anniversary Edition, as well its various sub-applications.
4). True confession - I use these things all night long, 8-9 hours and they will last. The manufacturer utilized great batteries, or one I don't know which. I try to charge them up for the same number of hours I plan to use them at one stretch, if I havethe foresight to do such a thing, and turn them off immediately when I hear the "low battery" utterance. What you do is up to you.
Cons: I repeat my reservation from above.
1). They are cheap, as in relatively cheaply made. When you initially remove the set from the box, make sure any replaceable parts and pieces are removed from the headset. At that point tighten all the screws, BUT MAKE DARN SURE YOU DON'T STRIP ANY - REMEMBER THESE ARE ALMOST MICROSCOPIC SCREWS AND WHILE THE SCREWS ARE METAL THEY SIT IN PLASTIC SO EVEN A WHISPER OF OVER-TIGHTENING AND YOU WILL HAVE A BRAND NEW JOB - ONE YOU DON'T WANT.
2). Make sure you have some Krazy Glue on hand (use whatever instant setting glue you want, this brand is just my personal preference). Glue up all the non-performance parts such as where the neck band meets the ear curves. There are some nasty tiny wires inside those parts and should the two mentioned parts become separated you will soon be separated from your money to buy another set - that is if you want. The price of the glue vs. another set of headphones is incalculably small. Just make sure not to glue your fingers or other more sensitive body parts together. If you do, isopropyl alcohol at a minimum of 91% should help you out but make darn sure your workspace it really well ventilated AND, AND, AND don't let an open or any other sort of flame or high heat source anywhere near you, the container(s) or the cleaning rags, and dispose of the nasty stuff properly and quickly. You don't want to even think about the hell that could befall you, your family members or others and pets with a thoughtless move or lack of pre-planning. GOT IT? I mean it it, GOT IT? This is life we're talking about here - 1 to a customer. But guilt is sometimes worse than death!
Other Thoughts: Final thought. I do recommend this unit. I give it a 4 out of 5 whatevers. I know absolutely nothing about anything else MPOW makes so you are on you own there. If these are a fair representation of the rest of their stuff, however, then it must be pretty good stuff but like I said I just have no idea. If you try them make sure to spread the word, in tech we are generally speaking experimenters even if we don't want to be. But hey, that is part of the fun of our hobby, profession or our chosen way of blowing our money. Good luck to everyone but make sure in your exuberance you don't blow up your home or the kids college funds. It is all too easy to do so be smart.READ FULL REVIEW
