You can't get better

EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4998-KR 6GB CLASSIFIED GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card
EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 06G-P4-4998-KR 6GB CLASSIFIED GAMING w/ACX 2.0+, Whisper Silent Cooling w/ Free Installed Backplate Graphics Card

Pros: Fast and powerful right out of the box. It's VERY powerful.

Cons: The fans are a bit loud, but I use headphones.

Overall Review: This is a top performer. I had considered an MSI card for more money, but this one won the day because of the reviews and specs. I bought it specifically for the Oculus CV1 when it arrives. My DK2 loves it.

Runs great - BUT HOT AS ALL DAY

XFX Double D Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card FX-795A-TDFC
XFX Double D Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card FX-795A-TDFC

Pros: Powerful, like crazy powerful, especially in Crossfire

Cons: I have two of these cards, both identical. I spent hours testing and testing to learn that both cards get to 100C in heavy use. That's too hot, and it exceeds XFX's temp range as stated on their FAQ. I've tested one card and then the other as well as Crossfire and they run at 99-100C (or more, but I can't determine it reliably) The primary card also idles at around 68C. These temps are just insane.

Overall Review: I'd give these a 5+ star rating if they ran in a normal temp range. I'm a loyal XFX customer and have an old 5770 in a junk box, a 6950 in an i5-2500k rig and these two 7950's running in a new LGA2011 i7 system. I know the card has been discontinued now, but nevertheless I have to make these comments.

My second dead Apevia

APEVIA Jupiter Series ATX-JP1000W 1000 W ATX12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Power Supply
APEVIA Jupiter Series ATX-JP1000W 1000 W ATX12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Power Supply

Pros: Worked for 28 days

Cons: Died after 28 days

Overall Review: This is my second Apevia PSU. I should have known better after the first one let out the smoke. Junk!

Cheap

450W ATX Lite-on PS-6301-08A PS-6361-5 Power Supply Replace
450W ATX Lite-on PS-6301-08A PS-6361-5 Power Supply Replace

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Blew up after a month of use. Can't return it now so it goes in the trash can.

Overall Review: Get something better. I've been building computers for a long, long time. I always get good PSU's like CM or Corsair...shame on me for departing from a practice which has served me well for a long time. Avoid this thing. Get a good one and don't waste your money.

Cons: it's not free! Seriously, there aren't any cons to this card.

DOA

LEXMARK Interpret S405 Up to 33 ppm Black Print Speed 4800 x 1200 dpi Color Print Quality USB / Wi-Fi InkJet MFC / All-In-One Color Printer
LEXMARK Interpret S405 Up to 33 ppm Black Print Speed 4800 x 1200 dpi Color Print Quality USB / Wi-Fi InkJet MFC / All-In-One Color Printer

Pros: Cheap; if it worked, I'm certain it would be a nice printer.

Cons: DOA - I called Lexmark tech help and they are sending me a new printer ink cartridge "carrier" thing to hopefully make it work. Hopefully it will work after the part arrives. I give it a 1/5 for being a DOA.
