Pros: Finally figured out my issue. Was not that it was plugged into the wrong port but that, i didnt have the ACHI activated in the bios. Did that and just did a fresh install and everything works fine now.
Cons: I dont have any ill thoughts of this device. Hope it lasts!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: easy to install. Affordable sale price. It seem fairly fast. Win7 performance index gives 7.8.
Cons: im puzzled that my computer tells me its a SATA generation 2 device when the packaging states otherwise. If its indeed true this may be why im not very impressed by the boot times which seem comparable to my spinning HDD.
Other Thoughts: I also may have something not fully optimized on my machine as well! I have exhausted all my knowledge though and could definitely use some help if i am indeed missing something.
8gb Gskill 12800 running 1600
GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H AM3 AMD 890GX SATA 6Gb/s
Pros: Affordable, purchased 3 years ago. Clocked well until I ordered more and now its a different RAM...
Cons: I ordered more of the exact RAM or so I thought. Upon installation and setup in the BIOS i loaded CPUZ and its telling me the RAM is different PC10700 and PC312800H. Of course the 12800 is giving me the desired readings but the other is not. I am unsure if i am sacrificing performance here due to not having matching RAM anymore. I used to have no issue clocking my RAM to 1600mhz howver now it will not allow. Any thoughts? i want to return the product and get matching products.
Other Thoughts: I would like a solution from anyone? Perhaps has something to do with intel XMP stamped on the new ram sticks?READ FULL REVIEW
