Pros: Updated Review
I made a nooby mistake that led to me believe the psu failed in a previous review, but it did not.
The psu works well. It handled the stress of a system with an overclocked 8320 and hd 7970 running unigine heaven and prime95. In short its powerful and works well.
Plenty of cables.
Cons: It could be a manufacturing defect, but the screws don't line up with the screws on my rosewill r5 case. i managed to get in 2 and they hold the psu in place.
The cpu power cable could have been a bit longer.
Other Thoughts: shopping for electronics components is like lottery. Make sure to benchmark them thoroughly to make sure they do what they promise. If not rma and try again and repeat the cycle.
This psu does whats promised.
Pros: I'm so pleased with my purchase. It maxes out my games at constant 60 frames, i'm talking crysis 3, bf3. (vsync enabled) You can max out any triple A title from 2012-13 backwards or play them at very high to high settings.
The fans are so silent i don't hear them. All i hear are my case fans.
I get extra performance right out of the box with the factory overclock and have ability to clock it higher with the gaming app ,such a nice software very convenient, with just 1 click.
Having cuda and opencl in one card is a plus for a student like me.
Cons: The Oc mode is unstable. I benched it with unigine heaven and i get freezes everytime but the default gaming mode is very stable.
Other Thoughts: The card delivers. I'm not going to drop an egg because of an unstable oc mode because thats just a plus to have and i guess depends on silicon lottery.READ FULL REVIEW
