Pros: Free shipping.

Other Thoughts: Ships from China which takes about two weeks as stated on Newegg webpage. Arrived in perfect condition. Running on Win XP SP3.READ FULL REVIEW

Cons: NovaBACKUP - Free upgrade to V15 does not work. Buffalo Tech support does know how to fix.
I purchased the LinkStation Duo because NovaBACKUP Professional with 5 licenses was bundled with unit and upgrade to NovaBACKUP v15 for free within 30 days of activation. Installed NovaBACKUP Professional on a Window client using included Linkstation CD. (Need to select Options then Additional Software Installation).
I spend most of 5 days not being able upgrade to V15 as shown on Buffalo's Website.
1st problem: No License Key in Help About screen to allow registration and upgrade. A call to Buffalo Tech support was no help.( BTW ask for a case number.) Was told key should be in some file on CD like a readme that I needed to go look for.
2nd call to Buffalo after not finding the key. Different tech was very familiar with problem and pointed to location on their website to download NovaBACKUP and 2nd location to get free upgrade to V15. After new installation, a License Key was available but did not work for upgrade.
3rd call to Buffalo and asked for 2nd level support. After much discussion, Buffalo said they did not know how to fix this but I could call back and escalate. By now I had spent too much time and had learned my lesson - Do *not* buy any Buffalo products.
NovaBackup Tech support was also no help since I was not a $100K customer and they already offer a discount to Buffalo registered customers.
I own many StorCenter desktop dual drive NAS units but this is the last Buffalo products I will own.
