Pivos AIOS Network HD Media Center PTGMCART35-US – 3.5
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Lot of connections, 3.5" internal hard drive.

Cons: Don't buy if intend to use internal hard drive to store files. Twice the hard drive was not detected. Took the hard drive out and put in in an external 3.5 encloser, and it works fine. Both times I formatted the drive installed in the player. it worked when I first loaded files into it. When I tried to play the files next time, the internal hard drive is not detected. Their forum shows a few people have the same problem.

Other Thoughts: Updated to the latest firmware but did not help. Bought it because of the 3.5" internal hard drive. Thought I could put a big size internal drive in there. Disappointed.

ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Features packed.

Cons: Pricey but no Thunderbolt port.

Other Thoughts: Put together and loaded Windows 7 with no problem. Love it. Have had good luck with Asus motherboards.

BIOSTAR A880GZ AM3+ AMD 880G + SB850 SATA 6Gb/s HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Inexpensive, HDMI

Cons: No USB3.

Other Thoughts: This is my second post. My first post I ranked three eggs because I could not get the mechanical sata2 to install Win7. The work around was I installed the ssd3 as boot or 'C' drive, installed the sata2 as a 'D' drive, made 'D' drive active partition and formatted it; after I did this, I was able to install win7 on sata2 drive with no problem. Good basic PC.
