Who needs an ultrabook/netbook

ASUS TF300T-DOCK-BL Tablet Docking Station
ASUS TF300T-DOCK-BL Tablet Docking Station

Pros: Solidly built. USB and SDHC slots. Extra battery life (I've gotten 15 hours of use out of it on one charge). Does a great job of protecting the screen. Essential option for the TF300T tablet.

Cons: Wish it had space for a hard drive, but that's probably too much to ask. 2 USB ports would be nice, but that's what hubs are for :-)

Overall Review: I'm planning to set my TF300T up to dual boot Ubuntu as well. If that works out well (and from what I've read on the web, it does), I plan to ditch my netbook. I've installed "External Keyboard Helper Pro" from the Android market. It cost a couple of bucks, and lets you remap keys to your heart's content. I've used this to make the keyboard work better for my usage (I now have a hardware Escape key, essential for using vi inside of the SSH client)

nice for the price

Le Pan TC 970 Tablet TI OMAP3630 1.00GHz 9.7" XVGA 512MB Memory 2GB NAND Flash PowerVR SGX530
Le Pan TC 970 Tablet TI OMAP3630 1.00GHz 9.7" XVGA 512MB Memory 2GB NAND Flash PowerVR SGX530

Pros: Nice big screen. good value. not an ipad

Cons: First one was defective No ICS

Overall Review: Knocking off one egg for first one having issues with the touch screen. Newegg handled the replacement well and promptly, but I would have preferred better qc. Otherwise, it's great. And a very good value. Wish it came with ICS but may be upgradeable. I'm typing this review on it!

Nice little netbook

ASUS Eee PC 1215T-MU10-BK Black AMD Athlon II Neo K125(1.70 GHz) 12.1" WXGA 2GB DDR3 Memory 320GB HDD NetBook
ASUS Eee PC 1215T-MU10-BK Black AMD Athlon II Neo K125(1.70 GHz) 12.1" WXGA 2GB DDR3 Memory 320GB HDD NetBook

Pros: Good performance for a netbook, much better than the Atom based one it replaced. I swapped in a 4gb memory stick and it got even better. Lots of screen real estate. Asus makes great netbooks that work great under Ubuntu. Comes with no OS, so no Micro$oft tax, which is important to me because I *hate* MS windows. Still lightweight and compact, even with the 12" screen

Cons: Drive is somewhat loud and clicky. It works fine, but make more noise than I'd like. Only decent battery life - 4 hours instead of the 6 I was getting from the Atom based 1001HA Went on sale for $40 less the day after I bought it! Oh well....

Overall Review: 12" screen is worth the bit of extra weight over a 10". I had a previous EeePC for about a year, and was feeling a little cramped in that 1024x600 screen, given the amount of use I was giving it.

Just what my netbook needed

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Made a big difference in the performance of my EeePC 1215T. Worth $30 for the improvement.
