Pros: Great while it lasted (Bought in 11/2012)
Cons: The amount of power surges have been more and more frequent
Other Thoughts: I dont know whether to attempt a warranty or just to toss this in the trash. It was fine but now there are times when my PC manually shuts off or when my mother gets power spikes cause my gpu to stutter as well.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: -Fast response time
Cons: Stopped working just around the time the warranty expired
Other Thoughts: Gradually it stopped working. It got to a point where the only way it would turn on would be if i unplugged the power cable and plugged it back in. Then one day, I left my monitor on and went downstairs. I came back after 30mins to smoke and the smell of burning plastic.
I still have the monitor in my closet as a memento to why I will never buy an Asus monitor again.
Pros: 11/9//2016 Update: It seems like the recent driver update has fixed the issue with the card. The card would sometimes stall under heavy loads and freeze. I havent encountered that issue after latch driver patch. For those having the same issue I recommend to patch to the latest driver.
Cons: -Back plate? Once I opened this and felt the weight, Im curious as to why the back plate is sold separately...I think that's a horrible move on EVGA's part. I mean this isn't a budget card. If the customer buys a top tier item, I dont think they should be sold 95% of an item and be expected to pay $20 for the remaining 5%.
Other Thoughts: For the price, you get what you pay for. I didnt want to buy a budget card for it to be upgraded in a few years. With this I know I wont have to cash out more money in the long run.
