bang for your buck

Pros: I put this up against my AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz on a much better board and....running the windows 8 preview on a very fast Vertex Sata3 SSD I have to sayd that the triple core really holds it's own
Cons: wish I'd bought one of these for myself instead of only using them to build budget PC's for other people
Overall Review: spend more on your graphics and ram because this CPU is fine for gaming just need to OC a little
not worth it for a cache drive

Pros: I did get some performance increase but I can't tell how much boot time is 15 seconds on a win7 64 bit pro -it was cheap
Cons: this is not what I thought it was -you can't use RAID -had to reformat to get it to work -no drives over 2.5 TB no space left for me to use for my own caching can't store a game image or switch my page file over i'd like to be able to write blu-ray files to it
Overall Review: if I could use 32 gig for my own cache and the other 32 for dataplex then this might be worth it if you're storing large video or game files then a traditional SSD might not work for you that being said i'd rather have SSD boot drive with windows 8 and use this thing for page file and cache to try and limit the number of writes to boot drive therefore extending it's life I won't feel bad if this thing burns up because it was cheap
Fast and stable

Pros: tested in single channed with only 1 stick, while 4 gigs is the sweet spot for most windows 7 and 8 needs Dual channel or lack there of is very noticeable
Cons: red...ugly red heat thingys I don't like it everything in my case is blue too lazy to replace them
Pretty blue

Pros: I don't own this anymore, used it for an HTPC build worked fine for the few months I did have it and I never got any complaints
Cons: none
Top of the line

Pros: Large well made board Sata3x6 IDE front panel HD audio, 7.1 CPU level up
Cons: stock drivers had LAN issues, LAN connection kept dropping had to switch to wi-fi works fine with updated drivers only 4 x USB connectors
Overall Review: AMD Phenom II X4 955 started out w/ G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 1333 for stability and becuase it had pretty blue heat spreaders that match the board and lights in my case Swapped for G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) next to try Corsair Memory DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) see if we can squeez some extra speed out
fast and cheap

Pros: small and light rips fast
Cons: not blu ray or HD DVD, but what do you expect for less than $20?
Overall Review: bought 2 of these to replace my old IDE drive new motherboard doesn't have IDE
