Pros: Works with Macbook 6,1 White Unibody (Late 2009).
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: Adding this drive to my Macbook 6,1 (Late 2009) has given it a 2nd life. I maxed out the RAM (8GB) about a year ago when I upgraded to OSX 10.9 Mavericks with minimal notice to overall performance. But after adding this SSD, boot up time is under 30 seconds and shut down is under 5 seconds including the option to 'reopen windows after logging back in’. Safari opens with one bounce. Laptop only has SATA II so it runs at 3Gb/s but still plenty fast for everyday use. I've also updated to 10.10 Yosemite and everything is smooth running. I’ve only had the drive installed for a few weeks but it’s been the best sub-$100 investment for an aging laptop.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Memory for Apple Model FA-8500CL7D-8GBSQ
Pros: So far, so good. Works for my Late 2009 13-inch MacBook 6,1. No memory beeps after installation! Purchased this G.Skill RAM after an ill-purchase of Team 8GB TSD38192M1066C7DC-E based on user reviews. Looking forward to upgrading to Mavericks and Yosemite when it is released.
Cons: None thus far.
Other Thoughts: Purchase memory labeled for Apple models otherwise you may have to go through the RMA process as I did.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: None. Did not work for my Late 2009 13-inch MacBook 6,1
Cons: I purchased this RAM based on other reviews compatibility with Late 2009 13-inch MacBook 6,1 models and was confident I made a good purchase since newegg reviews have always been helpful. However, I was truly disappointed when I set the RAM in place and received 3 Memory Beeps. I attempted to re-seat multiple times/slot combos but each time 3 Memory Beeps. Also attempted seating one stick at a time to see if one of the new modules was not functioning, but to no avail. Popped my old 1Gig DIMMs back in and writing this review now.
Other Thoughts: Bummed out that I will need to go through the RMA process. Kills the discount I patiently waited for to finally pull the trigger on the upgrade.READ FULL REVIEW
