GIGABYTE GA-A75M-S2V FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: price and features ratio seems valuable.
bios and setup similar to most other brands.

Cons: Sent in factory for repair for locking up while loading bios 3 time with in 14 months. Now it is dead again and I am tired of sending it back again. Gigabyte MB is definitely out of my shopping list even if my customers requested for it.

Other Thoughts: My first choice among the economy brands is now ASRock and MSI the next.

PC Power & Cooling Silencer Series 500 Watt 80+ Bronze Semi-Modular Active PFC Industrial Grade ATX PC Power Supply (PPCMK3S500)

Pros: Look pretty and quiet. Connectors seem in good quality.

Cons: Believe made with low quality components or bad design. Well, it is said to be bronze and that is what you got. I came into this conclusion because of story below:

Other Thoughts: I have 3 builts with exact mother boards with similar hardware setups and brands such as optical drives, HDD, Rams and GPU. Only different that related to the incident is the power supply units: Seasonic gold and Roswell platinum.

Here is the problem, twice the power of the house got knocked off in a thunder storm twice the motherboard was zapped in that unit with this power supply while the other two were fine.

So, please research before buying and making sure the PSU is made with good quality components. $10 or $20 can save much trouble down the road. I am very disappointed with this product.

COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: It is very good quality metal and paint. The layout is easily workable. The optical drive bays can be easily mod to a fan bay. Much better then the one I though the best in the past.
The carrying handle is a plus.

Cons: The fan light switch doesn't work which I don't really need. One of the case fan was sluggish but the company replaced it in a couple of weeks after I register for damage part replacement.
The opening or handle on the bottom of the face plate and the fan opening on the bottom without a filter for the PSU are nothing but vacuum cleaner. You can fix it by stuff the front with a sponge or tap and install the PSU with fan facing up.

Other Thoughts: Rebate is a fail. I believe I was one of those within the certain percent that they threw into the shredder.

-3 eggs for the "rebate", bad fan light switch and sluggish fan
+1 egg for customer service that they actually replace the damage fan. Which gives a total of 3 eggs.
