This card is bloody amazing
Pros: This is easily the best PCI card out there. And while that's not saying much, this is: I can play BioShock on maximum settings (albeit on 800x600) and maintain 30-40 FPS. I can also play Call of Duty 4 on max settings and low res, as well as Gears of War and Stranglehold.
Cons: I really can't think of any. I will admit that the 64-bit memory interface probably hindered the performance somewhat...but not noticeably. And we'll never really know by how much, will we?
Overall Review: If you're a gamer and are stuck either temporarily or for the long run with PCI, then this is definitely a worthwhile purchase. I really wanna thank POWERCOLOR for giving us PCI gamers this chipset, and also Newegg for the speedy delivery.
Amazing headset
Pros: The quality of the audio in these things is simply stunning. The first time I put them on I played some of my favorite music to test them, and was blown away. The bass is powerful and deep, the highs are clear and crisp, and the audio is altogether amazing. The mic is very high quality. Everyone I play with tell me that my voice comes across very clear. They're also extremely comfortable, never becoming overbearing or stifling.
Cons: None whatsoever.
Overall Review: This is a truly quality headset for a decent price. Razer certainly has a new fan.
Amazing video card -- especially at this price
Pros: Handles every graphics-intensive game I've thrown at it. Keeps high resolutions and plenty of eye-candy whilst maintaining silky-smooth frame rates. Its fan is amazing--keeps this thing very cool, even after hours of gameplay. I keep the fan at a constant 70%, and I never see a temperature above 65 degrees Celsius.
Cons: There are some hitches while starting up the computer, but those go away quickly. Apparently lots of others have this quirk, and it's a driver issue. No biggie.
Overall Review: HUGE. Make sure your case has the space. I'm not exaggerating.
Best. Power supply. Ever.
Pros: Amazing durability. Great presentation. Cables are all shielded, which is awesome. Just upon opening the box, you know this is a fantastic product. It's kept snugly in a cloth bag, and when you take it out and feel the durable material this thing is made of, you just know you got a good buy.
Cons: There are literally none.
Overall Review: This thing is whisper quiet. Which is good, because my Radeon HD 4870 makes enough noise for the two of them combined.
Fantastic CPU for the price
Pros: This thing, first and most noticeably of all, is very cheap. That's a major pro right there. Also, it runs cool and doesn't require much power. Don't listen to those saying this thing won't run games; so long as your video card and RAM are up to par, this CPU is just fine.
Cons: I was a little scared when I got this because the last OEM hardware I received from newegg -- an ATI X1950 -- died as soon as I plugged it in. That, and it doesn't include a heatsink and fan like the retail version. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD HEATSINK AND FAN. It also runs a little hot -- around 65 degrees Celsius under full load.
Overall Review: My system: ATI Radeon HD 4870 512 MB 2 GB RAM Corsair 550W PSU This processor I mention this because I said earlier that this CPU could run games. It can, as long as you have a good GPU like I do. I play Crysis completely maxed out and never see my FPS drop below 30. Also, make sure you know what you're doing if you buy this OEM unit. No instruction books here.
Surprisingly good product
Pros: This microphone has amazingly clear sound for such a cheap price. I'd never heard of the brand before and was wary, but I'm quite impressed with the quality. I do voice-overs for funny videos with friends, and this thing does a perfect job for that. I also play games like Team Fortress 2 and just setting this up within a foot of yourself is perfect--you can talk into the air and this microphone picks it up flawlessly.
Cons: Very cheap-feeling, but I guess you get what you paid for. The monitor mount that comes with it broke upon contact with my screen--it literally split in half at the slightest pressure. That cheap mount alone earned the 4-star rating; would have been a 5-star otherwise.
Overall Review: I read other reviews saying this thing was TOO sensitive. Like it picked up fans in the background. This isn't true, at least not in my case.
