CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model CMD16GX3M4A1866C9

Pros: Looks awesome, ran at 1866 without any issues.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: These puppies may be unnecessarily fancy but I love em. They look awesome in my build with the light bar and run flawlessly at the speeds advertised.

Intel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge-E Quad-Core 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 2011 130W BX80619i73820 Desktop Processor

Pros: I'm not sure I could have made a better choice. I overclocked this thing to 4.5 but my cooler couldn't handle the temps. I have it stable at 4.3 and it runs flawlessly. Even at stock speeds it did everything I wanted just fine, I just couldn't help myself with the overclocking.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Even though this thing is only partially unlocked for overclocking you can tweak your bios and I've seen benchmarks of people running it at 5GHz.

Pros: Looks great, cool enough.

Cons: I thought I was going to break my mother board trying to secure this thing. It's not easy to install. The back plate had to bend quiet a bit before it would reach the screws and the whole time I was cringing. My temps are between 40 and 45c idle, 60-70c under load (I am overclocked to 4.3) I was expecting better temps based on some of the other reviews I've read. I'm using a Cooler Master Haf X case which has pretty good air flow to begin with. I've also tried remounting and re-applying the thermal paste and it helped by just a couple degrees. I'll probably switch to some sort of water cooling when I can afford it.

Other Thoughts: This thing looks really cool, it adds a lot to the look of my build since I have 4 LED fans already on my case. I wish it cooled a little better but I'm not convinced fully that I could have done something different to make it more efficient (this is my first build ever), I may actually try to remount it a third time and see if I can get some of the nice 35c idle temps I've seen other people claim to get.
