This review is from: ASUS MG279Q Black 27" IPS 144Hz 4ms Adaptive-Sync (Free Sync) WQHD LED Gaming Monitor, 2560X1440(2K),W/ Asus Excusive GamePlus and Flicker free Technology, Pivot&Height Adjustment, Built-in speakers
Pros: The AMD enthusiast's trifecta monitor.
Cons: Quality control.
-My first monitor had a chunk of dead pixels right off center screen.
-My replacement monitor had multiple dead pixels scattered around the display and some odd inter-panel smudge near center screen.
Other Thoughts: I plan to RMA my replacement monitor and hope that the third one won't be a dud. I'll adjust my review as necessary.
The package contents threw me off a little. Based on the manual, it should come with a DP to mini-DP cable. It also lists MHL, USB, DisplayPort, and HDMI as "option". Both of my monitors have come with DP to mini-DP, HDMI, and USB.
Pros: -Good CFM
-White light matches Corsair Carbide 500R case fans
Cons: -Cables aren't long enough in my opinion
-Price could be better
Other Thoughts: I have them installed in the top of my Corsair Carbide 500R as exhaust. I had to use the 4 pin Molex connectors as the fan farthest away barely made it through the topmost rubber grommet in the case.
Despite this, I think I'll buy another for my bottom intake fan. That one should reach a chassis fan header!
