Seagate Desktop HDD ST2000DM001 2TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: lots of storage

Cons: takes forever to format, week after I bought it the price dropped another $10 (but still happy with price I paid)

Other Thoughts: so far, so good - loaded data from 3 different 750mb drives quickly, so it's just over 3/4 capacity - and now I can use 2 of those 750's as RAID - freeing up 2 slots for more storage later. Hopefully this one will last for several years like all my previous Seagate & WD drives.

Patriot Slate 3.0 128GB USB Flash Drive Model PSF128GLSS3USB

5 out of 5 eggs totally satisfied 11/06/2014

This review is from: Patriot Slate 3.0 128GB USB Flash Drive Model PSF128GLSS3USB

Pros: cheap ($45), big (119gb formatted)

Cons: cap falls off when in use, easy to lose

Other Thoughts: loaded over 100gb data large files - fast !! (100+mb/sec), smaller files go slower (about 15-25mb/sec) but overall I am totally satisfied. never heats up. initially showed 119gb, but couldn't load anything ... it was not formatted yet, after format it runs super!

Corsair 64GB Voyager Mini USB 3.0 Flash Drive (CMFMINI3-64GB)

5 out of 5 eggs SMALL, FAST 01/20/2014

This review is from: Corsair 64GB Voyager Mini USB 3.0 Flash Drive (CMFMINI3-64GB)

Pros: ULTRA Small, fast, big

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Bought the 64gb to replace my 16gb Kingston Data Traveler G2 (used daily for 3yrs from work to home) and now I have room to store all my files, some portable programs, tons of music AND some videos to take with me. No problems so far, but this thing is ultra small - think fingernail size! Very easy to misplace or lose. I had to attach to something big to keep track of it. I hope it lasts as long as the Kingston.
