AMD FX-4300 Vishera Quad-Core 3.8GHz (4.0GHz) Socket AM3+ 95W FD4300WMHKBOX Desktop Processor

Pros: Got this CPU not too long after it was released and it hasn't given me a single problem since. Runs perfectly in games, actually bottlenecked by my GPU (A GTX 550 TI). Since going from my old desktop to this one, I've never had a bit of CPU lag.

Cons: Stock fan is a bit loud, but there are plenty of aftermarket CPU coolers out there.

Other Thoughts: Very pleased, it really is great for games as well as all other sorts of computing.

G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR

Pros: Really responsive, perfect amount of RAM for gaming. Got it free with my motherboard around a year ago so no complaints there!
Motherboard automatically detected it was DDR3 1600 so I had no issues with the clock speed needing to be manually adjusted

Cons: Price has gone up a good $30 since 2012 but no complaints there, still got it free.

Other Thoughts: Plan on buying another 8 GB set of this in the near future for another build!

TP-LINK TL-WR841ND Wireless N300 Home Router, 300Mbps, IP QoS, WPS Button, 2 detachable antennas

Pros: Extremely inexpensive router for the performance it gives. Got it on sale for $20 a few months back and the range it offers is much greater than my old router. Solid connection as well, no dropping of signal (Reason my old router was replaced). Port forwarding is simple on it and it is overall a great router.

Cons: First one gave out in about a month. Luckily with Newegg's return policy the RMA was rather quick and painless. Still, another $10 to ship it back was basically removing the sale price.

Other Thoughts: Even having paid $30 in the end, I'm happy with the router and expect it to last for a couple years to come.
