Perfect. 1 day shipping and no DP!
Pros: Upgraded from an 1800FP Ultrasharp - huge improvement. Text is about the same size, BlueRays are incredible. A steal at $270 AR. NO DEAD PIXELS.
Cons: None.
Works great for 6 months. Then slides like mad.
Pros: Works fine for 6 months, then the foam degrades and leaves you with a semi-friciton mount.
Cons: Works fine for 6 months, then the foam degrades and leaves you with a semi-friciton mount.
fixed the loud clicking
Pros: cheap, hyperscrolling, great feel.
Cons: LOUD and hollow "tocking" sound as opposed to quiet "ticking". Well, louder than my old mouse...fixed it with attached video. The problem is in the switch.
Perfect for its intended use
Pros: Easy enough for the whole family, including grandparents, to use, tons of codecs, reads nearly everything. HD Bluray rips are perfect with zero stutter. We have thousands of photos and 75 years of home film/video on a single external drive!
Cons: FF and Fast reverse could be better, but I don't usually zoom through movies, so I'm happy. Worst feature (missing): You can't MANUALLY click through pics. You have ot use slideshow at 3 secs. WD should have a firmware fix for this.
Overall Review: With Boxee and others on the horizon, may be a bridge unit, but a great unit for the cost right now.
Loud when used for media streamer
Pros: Big space for the buck ratio. Cool dial.
Cons: LOUD when used for bluray media tank. I use this with my WD TV LIVE. The clicking during the movie is audible from 15ft away. I bought a WD 1.5tb essential ext instead.
Screaming FAST 1GB in 60seconds
Pros: After buying an A-DATA 1GB stick last week and waiting FOREVER for data transfers, this is a welcome change. I transferred 1.5GB of Family Guy episodes in 90 seconds (versus 10 minutes+wi th other sticks)
Cons: none
