Pros: Fast, solid platform.
Looks Good.
Plays well with all components I have attached to it.
Up to 10 core support.
Latest USB technology.
3 machines built have all booted faster than previous boards.

Cons: If I must have a con, let it be that the USB 3.1 has only two ports and isn't straight 3.1 across the board. Other than that I have zero cons for this motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I decided to write this review because I see so many negative reviews attributed to this board. I have built two machines, one for me (5930K), one for a client (5820K), and advised my software wiz on building another (5930K) using this particular motherboard. Just got a check back from the software wiz last night. The machine is solid, fast, and stable. My own personal machine is solid, fast, and stable. The clients machine built on this board is also solid, fast, and stable. Now that's three machines built over the last year and a half, at various times, and all are glitch free where hardware is concerned. I recommend this motherboard to anyone smart enough to build a 2011 v3 machine on this platform. The quickness of the boot, the power of a six to ten core hyper-threaded machine, the ability to install 64Gb of fast memory, and the overall stability of this board make it a recommendation in my book anytime, every time. Three for three tells me that many reviewing this board negatively are in over their heads. I said many. That does not account for those who have legitimate issues with the X99A USB 3.1. I know there are some because that's always the case ... unfortunately.

5 out of 5 eggs Intel Core i7-5930K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 2011-v3 06/24/2016

This review is from: Intel Core i7-5930K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W BX80648I75930K Desktop Processor

Pros: Intel's got it going on. This processor is fast!
Discrete graphics necessary. (Could be a con for some).
40 PCI Express Lanes.
Runs real cool (Corsair 110i GT, IC Diamond T.I.M.).
Hyper Threading.
Virtualization Technology.
22nm Architecture.

Cons: Only con I can think of off the top of my head is if somebody talked you out of buying this processor.
Some might consider the requirement of discrete graphics a con. Not really a problem. Even a low end
current card does pretty well.

Other Thoughts: Got this chip teamed with ASUS X99-A/USB 3.1 mobo. All components are playing extremely well together.

Pros: Motorola.
16 download/4 upload channels.
Nice looking in gray and black ( a bit tall though).
Truly impressed by the speed boost both up and down.

Cons: The power cord is at the top of the unit. Should be at the bottom to keep a low wiring profile.

Other Thoughts: Swapped out my Surfboard 6121 for the MB7420. I pay for 100 down/10 up. According to "Speed Test" my ping is 35ms, Download speed 171.11 Mbps, Upload speed 11.86 Mbps. Works for me!
I have the MB7420 paired with an ASUS RT-AC68U dual band wireless router and they are playing well together.
