Beautiful!

SAMSUNG 22" WSXGA+ LCD Monitor 2 ms (GTG) D-Sub, DVI-D 226BW
SAMSUNG 22" WSXGA+ LCD Monitor 2 ms (GTG) D-Sub, DVI-D 226BW

Pros: These monitors are sleek and stunning! (We purchased 2!) Both worked perfectly right out of the box. The colors are bright and clear and the text is very sharp. Response time is lightning fast so you won't see motion blur during gaming. It handles World of Warcraft and Oblivion beautifully, and the price is right!

Cons: I have none.

Overall Review: Buy it! You won't be disappointed. It is huge, beautiful, bright and the colors... you won't believe the colors!

Most Critical Review

Took a chance... Wasted my time.

ECS NFORCE3-A 754 NVIDIA nForce3 250 ATX AMD Motherboard
ECS NFORCE3-A 754 NVIDIA nForce3 250 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: None that I could see.

Cons: The fans would turn on but the board would not power up. Tried 3 different power supplies. Tried with and without RAM; with and without drives connected; cleared CMOS... you name it, I tried it. DOA

Overall Review: I took a chance because there were a few decent reviews on this board. I wanted something that was DDR400 and AGP compatible. There aren't very many options, I'm afraid. Tried 2 different boards with the same results. Decided to scrap the old parts, spent a little more money, and got a really nice setup. Don't waist your time... what's an extra xx bucks?!

BAD BAD BAD

NETGEAR WNR854T Wireless Router Gigabit Edition IEEE802.11n draft specification IEEE802.11g, IEEE 802.11b
NETGEAR WNR854T Wireless Router Gigabit Edition IEEE802.11n draft specification IEEE802.11g, IEEE 802.11b

Pros: It WAS fast and easy to set up.

Cons: Lasted about 6 months, then I got the famous "green light of death." What more can I say. It stopped working.

Overall Review: To get an RMA from Netgear you must wade through hours of select-a-number automated phone people. Once you finally figure out how to talk to an actual person, you will discover that the person on the line barely understands, let alone speaks, English. After more than an hour of typing numbers, giving serial numbers (4 times to 4 different people), being transfered and holding on the line... I was disconnected. I was not pleased to put it nicely. Avoid Netgear if you can.

So awesome!

ASRock ALiveNF6G-DVI AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
ASRock ALiveNF6G-DVI AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Decent Manual, no significant jumpers, lots of RAM space, compact, upgradeable... and the best thing yet... IT WORKS!!! (Long story)

Cons: Be careful, there is only one IDE slot. 1st PCI slot is really close to the PCI Express slot. My video card will prevent me from using that slot. (Leaving me with only one PCI .)

Overall Review: There are enough nice on-board components, that the PCI issue isn't much of an issue for me.

Nice!

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ - Athlon 64 X2 Brisbane Dual-Core 1.9 GHz Socket AM2 Processor - ADO3600IAA5DL

Pros: Fast!

Cons: None

Overall Review: I am just relieved, because I was trying to take the easy/cheap route by holding on to some old hardware. After 2 DOAs I finally gave up and splurged a little. My current setup, including this processor, fired right up and is running beautifully!

Ditch the old RAM/Video Card!

BIOSTAR NF325-A7 754 NVIDIA nForce3 250 ATX AMD Motherboard
BIOSTAR NF325-A7 754 NVIDIA nForce3 250 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: None that I could see.

Cons: Board was DOA. Fans fired up, but the board would not. Tried everything.

Overall Review: If you are thinking of buying this because you need something for DDR400 and AGP, please consider this: These boards stink! I have tried 2 different brands, both DOA. Spend a little extra... e b@y the old parts, and get something that will work!
