5 out of 5 eggs Does Exactly what it is Supposed to do. 02/01/2013

This review is from: SYBA SD-CM-UAUD USB 2.0 External Stereo Audio Adapter

Pros: Plug in, instant recognition. Works great for what I use it for.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Using this as a second sound card for Teamspeak, Vent, Skype, etc. Works perfectly.

EVGA UV Plus+ 39 USB VGA DVI / HDMI / USB3.0 / Supporting 1920 x 1200 or 2048 x 1152 Resolutions (100-U3-UV39-KR)

  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Looks good out of the box. This isn't something you would be embarrassed of sitting on your desk.

Cons: Will flat out kill the Nvidia Optimus drivers. Tried it on 3 different laptops, and whenever you launch any 3d application or game, it strobes like a disco, and crashes the program. YOu have to unplug and uninstall the drivers to get your 3D Nvidia cards working properly.

Other Thoughts: I wish someone would have mentioned this before I purchased. I can totally understand having to unplug it, or turning off the driver, but to have to do a complete uninstall to get your 3D graphics on your laptop to work? I would have thought better.

XFX GX260XADJF GeForce GTX 260 Core Edition Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: The GTX 260 is an extremely fast chipset, especially coming off of an 8800GT sli system. The convenience of not having to deal with SLI configurations was also a plus.

Cons: The fact that the "Solo Cup" grade plastic could not hold up to the heat of the card is what I would call a "con". The plastic buckled causing the fan to lock up, burning the card up. The Tech Support/RMA system in place is horrible. I reported the problem 4 days ago, with no response back, and no other way to request an RMA.

Other Thoughts: It doesn't matter that you boast about a "Double Lifetime" warranty, if you never answer your customers to honor it. Even though I am a repeat XFX Customer (2 8800GT Alpha Dogs and 1 9800GTX) with no previous problems, I can't with good conscience recommend a company that isn't there when you need them. Your name in this industry is not made when everything is rosy, and the product is working as designed. You make a positive name for yourself when you step up and go that extra mile, proving to your customers that you are worthy of their loyalty. XFX has not done that, and hasn't even took the time to assure me that they are doing anything, let alone everything in their power to resolve this issue.
