Segate Self Encrypting Drive
Pros: Operational Speed - Bought this drive to prove a theory about the minimal affect encryption would have on throughput. The system into which this was being installed had a very high priority on real-time operation. Speed tests we ran showed less than 1% hit in our most drive intensive operation (most drive I/O). To gain AES 256 bit encryption and FIPS140-2 compliance, well worth the cost.
Cons: Not a con with the drive, just a con that while I knew the drive would require the Trustworty Computing standard command set/compliance, I would imagine that a number of people would not know that. Should be displayed right out front where folks can see it. I am a big Linux user and while I can connect and use the drive under Linux, encryption won't happen. Luckily, a lot of Linux distros allow encryption through a kernel module.
Overall Review: Good Speed, Good Price, Newegg service. Gotta love it.
Piece of Cake
Pros: All that was needed was to attach the feet (all of 2 minutes) Plug it in and put the batteries in the remote, BINGO!! Beautiful Picture and 32 inches was the perfect size for that room
Cons: Remote buttons are small for the sausages at the end of my hands, normal humans should have no problem. I cannot play guitar for the same reason. Would have loved a set of audio out jacks to connect to sound system. Have to use ones from the cable box and that creates a bit of an echo effect. I just turn TV sound down to eliminate that.
Overall Review: Have the previous non-LED version also. Picture visibly better.
Wait for the Future
Took almost double the time to arrive then advertised. Could have been the shippers fault so I do not blame The Wireless Circle. Both items worked perfect out of the box. Ralph S. who ordered using wife Amy S' credit card
