Pros: The IPS LCD w/ LED Backlight (Anti-Glare) is a beautiful screen for Photoshop, everyday web browsing, and gaming. This laptop does NOT get hot, barely warm on the bottom side. The 128GB SD boots up the system instantly, and can be upgraded to a larger one by cloning the OS onto the larger SD. The 1TB HD is plenty fast for everyday use, and loads programs quickly. The overall specs on this laptop (NV 960M, 128SD, 1TB HD, IPS LCD) cannot be beat for the price. Quality is EXCEPTIONAL, and I've owned over 15 laptops from every major brand. Lenovo is now easily on par with the best Dell and HP have to offer.
Cons: A little heavy to lug around, but the wife just keeps it in one place. Being a very tight case fit, the 'clamshell' screen is a little awkward to open at first, but you get used to it.
Other Thoughts: Got this on the Black Friday sale, and what a sale it was! Was reluctant to go with Lenovo, having never even seen one of their laptops before. The fear instantly subsided once I saw the quality and attention to detail in this superior laptop. You have to check the exact make/model when buying to make sure you get the exact equipment you want. This was the Lenovo 17.3" Y700-17ISK (80Q000C1US) . Very, very happy with this laptop, and we've had many. Plenty fast, great features, and the screen is just gorgeous. Does NOT get hot - barely warm. Even after being on for hours.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H105 Extreme Performance 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler, CW-9060016-WW
Pros: Supposed to be a great water cooler for overclocking.
Cons: Doesn't work with Corsair Carbide Series 500R, Item#: N82E16811139009. Won't mount properly. VERY, VERY LOUD fans!!
Other Thoughts: Don't get the H105 if you are thinking you can mount it in the 500R and overclock with it. It won't mount properly, and the fans are SO LOUD they are unbearable. Look at the Item#: 9SIA0AJ2KG0923, Noctua NH-D14 SE2011 instead. It is VERY QUIET and cools BETTER than the H105. The H105 is overrated, IMOREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great case, as long as you don't plan on cooling it with the Corsair H105. I switched to the Noctua cooler and now am very happy with the case, and have it FULLY LOADED to the max with hard drives and an overclocked i7-3770K, 4400 MHz (44 x 100) running at a cool 20'C ambient idle temp. You can mount Noctua fans on the inside hard drive cage with the provided threaded holes and draw more cool air over your PCH southbridge and GPU fans as well, which brings the temps down far into the safe overclocking range of temps.
Cons: Don't buy this case if you plan on using it with the CORSAIR Hydro Series H105. It WON'T fit properly, and force you to mount the radiator in such a way that it doesn't make direct contact with the H105 cooling fans. Also, the H105 fans had to be mounted with the case mount between the fans and the radiator and were VERY, VERY LOUD! Had to remove the H105 and go with the Noctua NH-D14 SE2011, which is VERY, VERY QUIET and cools much better than the H105.
Other Thoughts: Doen'st work with the Corsair H105 as advertised. Works great with the Noctua cooling system once you place an extra fan in the top for drawing hot air up through the top and at least one extra Noctua on the inside hard drive cage to draw cool air in over the southbridge of the motherboard. Noctua system is super quiet and cools much better than the Corsair H105. Item#: 9SIA0AJ2KG0923READ FULL REVIEW
