This review is from: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Great specs and fast delivery.
Dr Debug feature tells me exactly what's wrong so I can try to fix it, however I cannot fix defective hardware. It is nice to know exactly what to Google for though.
Cons: Faulty arrival. "Dr Debug" tells me that there is no memory installed. slots A1 and A2 don't work at all. B1 works on its own and with B2 but any other combination doesn't work.
Also noticed it didn't come with a small speaker for post beeps. Kind of odd but considering it has a debug board I think I can forgive this small oversight.
Other Thoughts: I know this board can be a great one when it's working properly but this is the second time I've ordered ASRock and had it arrive with faults. This is my first time filing for an RMA however. I hope the replacement they send will be better. I can work with 2 slots but I do eventually want all 4 and for the price I paid I'd hoped that this board wouldn't have issues. that's really all it comes down to at this point. I want to give it a 5 star rating but until I get a fully functional board I'll have to sadly keep my rating low.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: - Provides my system with excess memory so my PC no longer bottlenecks.
Cons: - None yet.
Other Thoughts: - I highly recommend that if you do not already have more than 12GB of ram in your system to do so. It's becoming more common that 8GB of memory is no longer sufficient for modern PC gaming, especially if you multitask.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Logitech Harmony 300i Universal Remote Control
Pros: -Works perfectly with fully programmable controls on devices I was doubtful if it would even work. I've tried several controllers on my one TV to no avail. This works great!
-Can even work with an Xbox 360!
-Easy setup, except for one minor detail (see cons)
Cons: -Setup requires you use Internet Explorer, when I attempted to set it up on Google Chrome it never went passed the installation.
This is a con because IE is seen as a bad browser by most users.
-Cannot program a Playstation 3 without a Harmony Adaptor for the Ps3, sold separately. (Probably because the PS3 uses Bluetooth and not IR.
Other Thoughts: Since this controller can work a TV that is hard to find a compatible controller for (It's a Vizio), I can pretty much tell you that this can support most if not any TV you have in your house hold.
Other Info: I am running a Windows 7 64bit PC. And as long as you can run a browser (in this case Internet Explorer), you should be able to run it just fine. Make sure that you know the Brand (Sony, Sharp, etc) and the model number of the device you want to program. The application will tell you if it's in the database or not. If it says that it's not, check the number again odds are it was typed incorrectly or you entered the serial number instead. I made that mistake with the Xbox.
To set up an Xbox enter Microsoft for Brand and Xbox 360 for model number.
