BELKIN F5D8235-4 802.11b/g/n N+ Wireless Gigabit Router up to 300Mbps

4 out of 5 eggs Decent after initial issues 08/02/2011

This review is from: BELKIN F5D8235-4 802.11b/g/n N+ Wireless Gigabit Router up to 300Mbps

Pros: Able to use Home access and set Guest access w/o issues. Trouble free after figuring out issues.

Cons: Was trying to use with another router for guest use which gave issues. 2 Belkins don't work together unless changing their internal settings. With a Netgear was better but not perfect. Finally ditched both and runs great. Hardly need to reset at all and works great after 6 months

ZyXEL PLA407 HomePlug AV 200 Mbps Powerline Wall-Plug Adapter (Starter Kit - 2 Units)
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Has been working great over a month now. Have not seen any drops in connections and is good enough for my kids to stream video from the web.

Does clear the upper outlet so that something else may be plugged in at the wall.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I am using with a set of Trendnet TPL-304E2K and have no issues between them

TRENDnet TPL-304E2K Powerline AV Adapter Kit with Bonus Plug Up to 200Mbps

5 out of 5 eggs works great even w/other brand 02/03/2011

This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-304E2K Powerline AV Adapter Kit with Bonus Plug Up to 200Mbps

Pros: No more tripping over wires! I have eliminated so much wiring running to 4 computers in different areas. Since the internet upload rate is (on average) less than 10 MB/s by the cable provider, these work fine. Daughters watch Hulu and YouTube videos fine. No data shared between the computers so data transfer is not an issue.

Cons: One was dead in the kit and the other was not passing voltage through the 120 volt plug. Had to RMA but new set is fine.

Other Thoughts: Got a great deal a few weeks ago on Newegg!

If you network and share between your computers or home server, data rates may not be acceptable. These are fine me my family as we only access the internet.

These work fine with my other ZyXEL PLA407 units as well.
