Does what I got it for - Gives me USB3.0 Headers

HooToo HT-PC002 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 2-Port PCI-E Add-On Expansion Card with Internal USB 3.0 19-Pin Motherboard Male Header & 5V 4-Pin Molex Power Connector (VIA VL800 Chipset, Solid Capacitors)
HooToo HT-PC002 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 2-Port PCI-E Add-On Expansion Card with Internal USB 3.0 19-Pin Motherboard Male Header & 5V 4-Pin Molex Power Connector (VIA VL800 Chipset, Solid Capacitors)

Pros: -PCI-E USB3.0 header card, cheaper than the other one on here and comes with 2 rear ports. -From china but ships fast enough (got it in under a week)

Cons: -The 4-pin molex power connector is soldered onto the chip, and my PCI-E slots aren't near any power sources. -The unit does not come with any sort of documentation or potentially required cables

Overall Review: Be sure to pick up a male/female molex cable if you don't have one already, they're only $2-3. I didn't have one so I ended up using two 2 pin to 4 pin adapters running from my fan controller as a solution and it works well enough so not worth docking any points for.

Update from Previous Review about Linux

ASUS VivoBook X202E-DH31T 11.6" Touchscreen Notebook Intel Core i3 3217U 4GB 500 GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 4000
ASUS VivoBook X202E-DH31T 11.6" Touchscreen Notebook Intel Core i3 3217U 4GB 500 GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 4000

Pros: - Tried out all sorts of different flavors of linux on this thing, and the one with the best success was Linux Mint 15. All the FN+keyboard keys work out of the box including, my favorites, the disable touchpad and turn of monitor buttons (which should exist on ALL laptops). So did wireless, and everything else I have encountered. Native touch support is fairly good, and there are addons for Firefox and Chrome (ubuntu/debian version) such as "Grab and drag", make using the touchscreen as the primary input device very viable (the right click button on the keyboard helps).

Cons: - All versions of ubuntu 12.04+ with touch support have a bug where touch-tap will stop working after a random amount of time until you logg out/in. I assume this will also exist on the other -buntus though I have not tried it yet. However, I saw others having this issue with other brands of laptops so I believe it to be an OS issue and not a negative of this product specifically.

Overall Review: -The review immidiately below me (at least at time of writing this review) is me. I wish there was a way to edit reviews because I just wanted to update to say mint works better than ubuntu as my last review was before I encountered that issue with touch tap, and I don't want someone else wasting hours trying to get that to work. -I plan to eventually dual-boot mint and windows 8 (to run modest strategy games on the go) and have read of people getting it to work pretty well on this laptop, but I don't want to write a 3rd review for the same product.

Pros: - Fast - Hasn't failed at burning/reading a cd yet

Cons: - Kinda louder than my old cd drive, but spinning 50% faster will do that

Steady Connection, Decent Range

Linksys AE3000-NP High Performance Dual-Band Wireless-N Adapter IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 450Mbps Wireless Data Rates
Linksys AE3000-NP High Performance Dual-Band Wireless-N Adapter IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n USB 2.0 Up to 450Mbps Wireless Data Rates

Pros: Gets optimal speeds at moderate range from mid/high end routers, especially dual band

Cons: Tested it on a WRT 300N (an older so-so lincsys router), about 40 feet and 1 floor and it only gets about 2 bars (130-400 ping ingame) where my 2 year old laptop's Intel 802.11b/g/n card can maintain 3-4 (90-100 ping ingame). Not an issue in my regular setup but you can't push the limit of your router's range with this adapter.

Overall Review: If you have routers/access points powerful enough to emit a strong signal everywhere you will be using this device, it will work perfectly for you.

Way bigger than it needs to be but overall good mousepad

XTRAC PADS Ripper Mouse Pad
XTRAC PADS Ripper Mouse Pad

Pros: - Tracks my logitech g400 well - Sticks to my wooden desk pretty well (not like the giant thing's going anywhere) - Rolls up very easily and will also fit flat in any laptop case, so it's as easy as any other mousepad to haul around (much more so than the metal ones).

Cons: - Way bigger than it needs to be. You could cut it in half and get 2 regular sized mousepads. Make sure you have sufficient desk space for this, though it can easily go under things if you don't so not really an issue.

Overall Review: It comes with a sticker so you can show off that you paid $12 for a mousepad I guess

Pretty Good Monitor

LG 23" TN LCD Monitor 5 ms D-Sub, DVI 23EN43T-B
LG 23" TN LCD Monitor 5 ms D-Sub, DVI 23EN43T-B

Pros: - Very good contrast ratio. I've seen advertised 10KK:1 monitors that don't get nearly as dark as this one - this one will genuinely look OFF, even in a pitch black room, if the whole screen is black. - Vibrant colors. Goes without saying that this gives a much better video and gaming experience than my old 20" LCD. Ran winamp milkdrop visualizer to test it out and let's just say it did not disappoint :) - No built-in speakers. This is a con for some, but the nicest built in speakers in the world are garbage in comparison to $20 speakers so for a PC-only monitor that is no wasted money/space/default output.

Cons: - No HDMI/Displayport. Not an issue for me since I only use it for a PC with 2 DVI monitors. - Base price is insane. $210 is enough for a 27" monitor. I got it on shellshocker for $130 - Bad built quality on the stand. It's strong enough that I trust it to not break but it feels flimsy when you adjust the monitor. I plan to mount it eventually but even still this could use improvement.

Overall Review: LG is generally a higher priced brand than I go for, I typically go with ACER/Dynex and similar brands. However I have yet to see an LG product fall short of my expectations. So when I saw this monitor on shellshocker, I jumped right on it and am very happy with my decision. 23" is the perfect size for a desktop monitor and the picture quality is great so if you are going for an overall solid monitor, this is certainly an option. If you want a more versatile monitor that can run all your gaming consoles, you can find others in this price range with built in audo and HDMI that will suit your needs much better.

Good Quality Product - Good Shipping

Even though it came from China, the product I got (HooToo USB3 header card) was good quality and arrived in under a week with free shipping. So don't let the "From china" discourage you if you're scared of 2 week shipping time.
