5 out of 5 eggs What it Should be... 01/13/2014

This review is from: Microsoft Windows Home Server 2011 64-bit - OEM

Pros: Relatively inexpensive, It just works, Faster than old WHS 32Bit, easier to install, the remote or client dashboard is much easier to use than old WHS. Overall interface on the server or the client "Dashboards" are much more intuitive, understand that this is a 64Bit OS, does not upgrade! Too bad there isn’t some built in way to migrate old files and shares seamlessly from 32Bit to 64Bit. I installed Mymovies on it, an ASUS BluRay/DVD burner and again it just, “Works” rips my DVD’s with ZERO input from me, open drive put in disc, when you see tray open again, next,,etc…WHS 2011 and MYmovies, perfect combo!

Cons: License Key is on package is so smal you need a magnifying glass, (seriously), too bad there is not a Migrate old server to new function easy button. REQUIRES 4GB of Ram not a con but be aware, addding drives a little quirky, no way to make one "BIG DRIVE" seriously do you really need a Raid for home?

Other Thoughts: ASUS MOBO with integrated graphics, 4GB of Ram and 5 TB's
