GIGABYTE - 14.0" NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760M - Intel Core i7-4700HQ - 8GB Memory - 128 GB SSD - Windows 8 - Gaming Laptop - (P34G-CF1 )

Pros: -Looks really nice and feels very sturdy and strong, light and thin. -Strong screen bevel hinges. -Great back-light keyboard, with very minimal flex. No flickering. -Fantastic sound for such a small laptop. -Not as loud as I thought it would be. I thought it would be a lot louder from all the reviews but it really isn't. I have bat like hearing and I have little issue with the loudness of the fans. When playing games, the sound will just about drown out the fans, especially if you are wearing headphones. When the laptop is idle it is practically silent as the hard drive doesn't even spin unless used.

Cons: -The biggest qualm I have with this laptop is the display. Overall the display is very good. The issue I have with the screen is that it is noticeably bright in patched areas around the edges. I believe this is because this type of display is very sensitive to any sort of flex that may be inherent from its mounting into the frame of the bezel. I notice this most in games that have black loading screens, dark caves and night scenes. -No dedicated volume buttons. I know this is a small 14" laptop but it would have been nice to have a dedicated volume button. Whenever you want to change the volume you will need to go to the volume icon on the bottom right or use your fn f8 or fn f9 keys in combo. -Another very miniscule issue is the trackpad doesn't always track perfect and is most noticeable toward the very bottom of the pad. There doesn't seem to be sensitivity at the last 5mm of trackpad. -Annoyingly the default action for the graphics card is to change brightness in real time to save battery. This hurt my eyes as the brightness would change from one web page to another. In the case that someone else is having this issue, go into the Intel graphics card properties and click on power. Go to the battery section and turn of display power saving technology. -There also seems to be a lot of stickers. I was able to remove the top two on the bezel but don't try and remove the P34 spec sticker because it is really on there good. I have not tried removing the i7, Geforce, or gigabyte 2 year warranty stickers for fear that it will leave a sticky residue. -This is not really a con but I noticed that there really is no purpose for the speaker like grill by the power button. the speakers are actually front facing on the front edge of the laptop.

Overall Review: I would definitely recommend this laptop if you are looking for a lot of power in a very small package for the least amount of money. Most of the pro's outweigh the cons and of course your screen might be better (hopefully not worse) then the one I got. This machine can definitely play games (currently playing Far Cry 3, Witcher 2) and at full resolution with most setting on medium to high. The battery will last several hours if you are not doing much but will quickly dissipate if you try and play games.
