This review is from: LG G5 RS988 32GB Titan Unlocked Smartphone, 4GB RAM 5.3" US Warranty
Pros: -Super fast, one of the fastest phone around. I think it lands in the top three.
-Removable battery system is very cool.
-32gb built in is nice, SD slot is great.
-Camera(s) are all awesome. Wide shots are useful and fun.
-Fast charging is the most important feature on any phone now, this phone does it very well with USB C.
-Display is very nice too.
-Best Finger print scanner on the market.
-Always on display is cool.
-LG quick case is a great add on.
Cons: -They moved the Volume buttons!
This is why it cant be called a G# in my book.
The shape is not a G#.
Why not call it something else?
Some people call it ugly, but every phone gets a case... so get a case you like.
Other Thoughts: They made this phone a bit smaller than the last G series phones, 5.3 vs 5.5 and 5.7.
New LG launcher feels a bit IOSish to me, but after downloading a app drawer I was ok.
This review is from: Velodyne vTrue Forged Aluminum High Performance Studio Headphones
Over the ear
Loads of padding
bass, mids, highs
Cons: Price, they can be found online at other popular retailers for $150.
Not worth $400
could be heavy, but I don't see myself using these outside of the home.
Other Thoughts: For $400 bucks you're entering into some serious headphone markets.
You can get a much better pair for 250-400.
That being said lets talk about them vTrue.
They sound, feel, and look great. They are 100% flagship material. The bass is what you would expect from a company that makes high-end subs. The bass isnt overwhelming like some headphones made by a certain Dr. These headphones are very well balanced. If you like that loud crazy bass then there is tons of overhead to crank your settings up to 11.
You absolutely need an amp for these giant drivers. Im using a Fiio Andes AMP/DAC and its more than enough juice to power them. Do not buy these and think you're plugging them into your Android or iPhone and getting what you paid for.
NewEgg sells headphone AMPs. You need the amp for these high-end headphones. Do not be cheap and get something.
I am very happy with these headphones and cant wait to explore them even more, they are just awesome.
This review is from: Velodyne vLeve On-Ear Headphones with Inline Mic and 3-Button Remote - Matte Black
Pros: Light weight
mic and controls on cord
Can be found cheaper online
Cons: Price is high at $200.
You can get better for less.
Other Thoughts: So I listed price b/c NewEgg wants $200 bucks. They can be found for 60-80 bucks online. I was bale to get them on-sale for $22. ( Best deal on newegg ever!)
For $200 I would look at Sennheiser Momentum. They can even be found for $130. They can go toe to toe with B&W's P7s but this isn't a review on Sennheisers.
I notice they sound much better with a small headphone Amp/DAC Vs the output of a iPhone. You would be robbing yourself if you didn't match these to an amp.
The Highs are nice and the lows are very good. However the Mids could be better, but they are not bad.
To compare them to another popular set I would say they sound like Bose Tri-Ports (Now the AE2) but with much better bass.
I said they were light in my "Pros" . They feel very nice on your ears, almost as if they aren't there at all.
This entry level set of headphone impressed me so much I ordered a pair of Velodyne's flag ship headphones (vTrue) a day later, I love them too.
