Pros: I bought this for a custom HTPC build, running Win8 x64 with an Ivy Bridge Celeron processor. Setup was simple and straightforward. It detected my SATAIII hard drive (albeit at SATAII speeds) and my 4GB of DDR3 RAM, without a hitch.
I was able to install Win8 to UEFI by preparing a USB key, plugging it in, turning on the machine, hitting F11 and choosing the UEFI boot option. After instaling, I went into the settings and disabled CSM, in order to enable UltraFastBoot.
Win8 boots up in less than 5 seconds. Very amazing!
Other Thoughts: Keep in mind:
- No USB 3.0.
- No SATA III.
- Ivy Bridge Celerons do have integrated graphics, and will work perfectly fine with this MoBo. I am using a G1610.
This review is from: Toshiba Q Series 128GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) HDTS212XZSTA
Pros: It's an SSD. It's great value. It's speed is like that of a red-tailed falcon pursuing a small field mouse.
Used it on a new Win8 x64 build. Booting up to the desktop in less than 5 seconds (Ultra-Fast UEFI boot takes some of the credit).
Other Thoughts: Bear in mind that this comes with just the hard drive. No cables, trays, screws, etc.READ FULL REVIEW
