TRENDnet TEW-639GR Wireless Gigabit Router 802.11b/g/n up to 300Mbps
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

2 out of 5 eggs Drops wired connection 01/20/2013

This review is from: TRENDnet TEW-639GR Wireless Gigabit Router 802.11b/g/n up to 300Mbps

Pros: -Gigabit ports for fast in network transfers
-internet actually seems like its running a bit faster (even though this should have nothing to do with that)

Cons: -drops wired connections from the internet at least twice a day. have to release and renew internet configuration. tried updating FW. that didn't help. Never had this problem with previous router (WGR614). I saw a previous review with the same problem.
-have to log in twice every time to log into router

Other Thoughts: Received as a gift. Was more interested in gigabit than wireless-n. Wireless seems to work well, don't use is that much. I am going to return this and get the Netgear WNR3500L-100

Other Thoughts: looks like there is extra threading on this for other applications

Diablotek REACTION CPA-8817D3 Black INSIDE BLACK Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case USB 3.0 max VGA LONG CARD
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Cheapest case you can buy that has USB 3.0, $25 after rebate, inside is also painted all black for a nice look. Sturdy enough

Cons: Not really cons for the money but ill mention them
-Front facing Hard drive bays
-Thin and light
-have to remove both sides of case to install drives
-front plastic is a bit chinsy
-I think i was missing one stand-off for the MB

Other Thoughts: Second Build, on the cheap. Using a power supply and a hard drive I already had, I managed to put together a i5-3570k system for <$400
